The worst experience I have ever had!! A lot of furniture damaged and missing!!walls damaged!
They promise replacement insurance but will not show you the contract when requested.Owner was very condescending and difficult to talk to when confronted about damages.

Blue line movers

I hired blue line to move me at the end of June. The move out of my house was a joke. The 3 guys they sent me argued with each other, one guy was not strong enough for the job, and they got me involved with their argument and put ME on the phone with their boss to try and help them get a different mover there to replace the one who couldn't handle the job. One guy sparked a conversation with my brother about illegal drugs. I would have to say this group of movers were quite unprofessional. This isn't the worst part. There were complications with my move in, and we were unable to move in. I spoke to someone at blue line who was very helpful, and helped me with storage for the two days I wasn't able to move in. I was starting to think that they were redeeming themselves for the move out. They even sent me a much better crew for the move into my house and I was actually starting to think of them as a great company who just had a couple bad employees. That was until we realized a box was missing. I spoke to the gentleman on the phone who admitted that he unpacked this box and left it on the porch before the other people were moved out of their house. Now this box is missing, and I have called 3-4 times to speak with (who I am assuming is the boss) Bob as he was the one who was being most helpful during the process. Conviently bob is no where to be found, every time I call to discuss the situation, he is confidently out of the office, I even sent an email to them directed to bob, still no response! I call, I email, nothing! I leave messages with other employees, they just get ignored. The box which was missing contained my wife's makeup, hair straightener, hair curler, basically lots of expensive stuff, but these guys won't even give me the courtesy of a call back or email back.

I URGE YOU NOT TO USE THIS COMPANY. I have never been so frustrated. You're better off using a company who is a little more expensive per hour, as it all even out in the end.

Moving

Blue line took care of my 2 bdrm apartment move in town. The 3 guys were friendly, professional, and hard working. As soon as they arrived they got right to work and only took a couple of 5 minute breaks. They didn't even stop for lunch. There were no hidden fees and they came within their estimated price. I would highly recommend!!

Moving

I have used Blueline Moving 3 times in the last 6 years. The first two times, they were great. I got 3 hardworking men that all wrapped my furniture, all moved the furniture out of one place and all 3 moved furniture in the new place. On Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015, I hired Blueline again. I was told I was getting 3 men. Tom worked hard wrapping my furniture and getting it ready for the truck. Dave was pleasant, he walked back and forth but only saw him about every 15 minutes. Brian had me sign the contract at the beginning and then I saw him at the end to take my payment. Last two times I had a lot of furniture. This time I moved into a 1 bedroom condo, I had to get rid of a lot of furniture and things. I moved all my boxes myself and cleared the locker so they didn't have to do it. The last two times they took around 5 hours and charged me between $560 - $640. This time I thought that it shouldn't take more than 4 hours since I only had a bedroom suite, a dining room hutch, table and 8 chairs, 3 piece sofa set and 3 coffee tables, approx 10 - 15 boxes, some pictures and desk and chair. All the furniture was taken apart and ready to go. At the end Brian told me it took them 7 hours plus 1 hour travel time total cost $1,039. I called Bob that night and told him that it shouldn't have taken them 7 hours. I had half the furniture but I paid twice the amount since the last two times. I asked Bob to call me back. He didn't. I called him Saturday again and he said that the walk from the condo to the elevator was a long walk. I walked it and it took one minute from door to elevator. I told Bob that my black lacquered coffee table was cracked, the armoire has a three drawers insert which when they brought it in was destroyed. Tom even asked me if it was supposed to look that way. I had put all the nuts and bolts in a bag in the drawers and they went missing. Also, I had a bag of nuts and bolts for my dining room taped to the table and they went missing. Bob said he will call me right back. He didn't. I even told Bob that the last two times, the guys made me do a walk around the truck at the end to ensure all the furniture was out, this time, they didn't ask me, therefore I don't know if the two bag of bolts were still in the truck when they dropped the furniture.I can't put together my dining room or my armoire in the bedroom.

A piece of advise for widows or those living alone, please don't use Blueline unless you can have someone walking back and forth and watching where the time goes. Also, you don't get 3 men working at the same time anymore, you only get 1.5 men. Don't use them if you have a 3 bedroom home, because it will cause you a fortune. I'm so diappointed and won't be using Blueline again and will not be recommending them anymore. Also, don't expect an apology from Bob, he won't even call you back.

Company Response

Thank you for your review. The move we did for this valued customer on Feb. 23/12 actually took 7 hours, The move on Feb.12 /15 took 8 hours. One hour more. The reason it took one hour longer is because the off load involves carrying everything from the truck all the way through the parking garage to the elevator. This move cost more for the above reason and the rate is higher 3 years later ..As far as only seeing two movers most of the time, this is normal ,if three men are going up and down with the elevator there would be no room for furniture. The third mover is busy moving items from the truck to the elevator area while the second mover assists mover one upstairs. I hope this is helpful.

House Move

I want to thank Blue Line Moving for doing such a great job – twice! After such an excellent job was done the first time, we hired Blue Line again recently to move our belongings. We hired the company to take care of everything – packing, moving and storage. Although this is always a very stressful time for my family, the staff at Blue Line helped us every step of the way. We spoke with Bob a quite a few times during the process and we really appreciated his knowledge and experience! The movers were also extremely efficient and friendly. They managed to move our furniture into storage and then into our new home with ease. The total cost was reasonable and was within the range Bob had provided in the estimate. Thank you for all of your help – we’ll be recommending you to our friends!

Moving

Please, I urge you not to hire this company, especially if you have expensive furniture. All your furniture will be scratched and damaged as they do not know how to move furniture with care.
Do not fall for their fancy Ad, it is all false that they have good service and that they are registered as a good business with BB, and that they have insurance. When your furniture gets damaged, Bob (the owner) will come to your place, look at the scratches and will say, ok these are from your previous move, nothing we can do for you, so sorry, and he will leave. They will say they will send you 3 men, but keep in mind, two of them will only be working and one guy will stay in the Truck the entire time, which means longer loading and unloading and more money going out of your pocket as they will delay the time to charge you more. This is their tactic for getting more money out of customers. The employees look very unprofessional with regards to their communication, clothing and outlook. Believe me as a lady I was so ashamed to look at them, every time they bent down to move a furniture, half of their bottom was always exposed, pants down, and they looked like the guys in the Hobbit movie. They will come to your house to give the estimate and will say ok, we will charge you for 8 hours. Even if you move half of the boxes yourself, and don't have much left for them to move, they will ensure they take their sweet time, just to charge you for that 8 hours which they had estimated for you no matter what. Lots of coffee breaks, driving your items to the new location at only 25Km/hour. Just about anything they can do to kill that 8 hour time, so they can reach that estimate which they had sealed on your contract. Be very mindful about their charging tactics !!!!
As a result of moving with them, my $9000 furniture is scratched and all damaged. I had to throw away an expensive coffee table as they had kept it side down on hard cement and the side was completely gone and scratched badly.
This was my moving experience with this company, hope you have gained some valuable information, and now that you know what kind of service you will be expecting from this company, as an intelligent customer you will avoid signing a contract with them and requesting for their service.

Hi! Mrs Tahiri
I did visit you at your new home 190, Borough Dr #708 Scarborough,
I did offer you service to repair any damage caused by Blueline. Our service contractor advised us that the repairs must be carried out on a Saturday at customers request and an appointment date has been set up. Regarding the time taken to complete your move, The building at 190 Borough Dr is unusual in that access to the moving elevator is through the parking garage, this involves a long walk, a very long walk.access to suite # 708 from the hallway is very tight. Don, Tom and Rob have been in the moving business a long time and have received extensive training on how to carry out their duties , in fact we have many letters of recommendation .Blueline has been in business since 1974 and we are very proud of our employees . I welcome comments from our valued customers it keeps us on our toes, but i like them to be factual
Best regards

Moving

Do Not hire this company. I entered into a contract and they failed to deliver items as per contract. They did not return calls and I had to cancel the contract & hire new movers. I was then harassed by company president Skeritt and told "you can't cancel a contract. A contract is a contract" ON MY MOVE DAY. They failed to deliver supplies, TWICE, did not contact me,and wonder why I couldn't trust them on my move day. Think twice about this company...you will regret it. I had to email my correspondence with them to BBB as I felt people needed to know how unprofessional they were/are. They didn't even have a clue why my supplies were not delivered (and didn't look like they cared to follow-up). If this is the kind of company you want to trust with one of the most stressful event you will ever experience, go ahead. I guarantee, you will be sorry! I finally had to demand that Mr. Skerrit "Do not email me again." I would NEVER refer them to anyone I like. Unfortunately, Bryan was nice and very customer friendly. He understood why I had to cancel. It's too bad he wasn't the president. The president obviously has no clue how to deal with his customers. A people person he is not.

Tom, John and George were punctual, hardworking and polite, and I had no complaints with their work. Bob the owner had given me a "telephone
estimate" of $800 +taxes which ballooned to $1600 when bill was
presented. I was shocked!! Was able to negotiate a lower price after huge
undo stress and frustration. GET A WRITTEN ESTIMATE FROM THIS

Hello Ms. Vesh, thank you for the review. All potential customers are advised that an in-home estimate is recommended for an accurate estimate as you were. You did say that you did not think one was not necessary as you thought you had low volume of items. Based on information given, we provided a ballpark estimate and again advising strongly to an in home estimate. Upon arrival to residence, van operator called office letting us know that volume is considerably more than advised by homeowner. At end of day we provided a 25% discount off invoice to get you close to your budget as requested. Thank you for your business. Blue Line Moving & Storage (Ont.) Inc. management.

Moving

We hired Blueline on Oct 1st 2014 for our move . Four men came with an 18 wheeler truck. They came on time and were very professional, nice and productive. The move went smooth and we got done by 5:30pm starting at 9am. The only concern I had with Blue line was that they charge me extra for the mattress bags when they said they were included in the moving cost.

Hello Rosa, Thank you for the comments. Can you contact our office for clarification...we cannot track you move by you forename. This was not brought to our attention on move day and was invoiced in error, however, if this commitment was made, we would be more than happy to refund. Thank you for business...happy unpacking.
