Dave Mackie was my service technician. He was exceptional...arrived within the two hour window that was given on this extremely cold day, covered his work boots which I know he has to wear for safety............and checked the hot water heater...........and gave me lots of advise re the "mixer" that may have been the culprit. It is now working just fine...........and there was no charge, as I have been "grandfathered" on this purchase in 2005. Very personable young man!!

I have been a Holmes Heating customer for probably 30 years, and really appreciate the peace of mind this gives me.

The crew, Derek and Steve, arrived on time. They were very professional throughout the installation. There were a couple of unexpected snags with the job and they took them in stride and resolved the problems. The job took a bit longer than expected because of the snags. The two guys were really great!
The furnace itself operates as well or even better than was explained to me by the sales rep. I'm very pleased with it.
The sales rep called me the week following the installation to make sure that I was satisfied with the furnace.
This week, approximately 2.5 weeks after the installation, the company sent the application for the $250 Ontario rebate from the company with all the information I needed to submit the claim.
I highly recommend this company.

Called for emergency service for no heat Saturday morning. The tech Ryan B was here before 11 am. He quickly diagnosed the problem and heat was soon off. Ryan gave me good tips to prevent further mishap. Great service. Dawn

I recently had my furnace stop working and it took 3 days in very cold weather to get it repaired. The first repair man who came to my home walked through my house (over carpets and rugs) with his boots on and offered no assistance to resolving the problem....told me to go buy some space heaters. When I contacted Holmes heating, I was told that they provide space heaters in emergency situations and that the repair man should have offered this option. Needless to say he did not put his name on the work order...i guess he didn't want to be mentioned in a review!
When the part for my furnace came in, a very nice technician came to put it in. His name was Ryan B. He was polite, took his boots off in my home and was not reluctant to provide his name to me and asked me to write a review.
I also found that Larry and Shane were very nice and understanding when I called in...a few times... to inquire about the part, while the others...who again did not give their names...were not very nice.
I feel that Holmes heating would have a better reputation if they got rid of some of their rude staff. The 3 day delay would be much easier to deal with if all the staff were nice and understanding.

10-year-old ERV has had no maintenance except monthly cleaning. Scheduled a check-up to make sure it's still working properly.
Technician Neil Durling showed up up within the agreed time-frame and did a thorough examination and cleaning, including unplugging external vents. Personable, highly competent and very professional.

I called Holmes because I had no heat at 9am. Neil Durling showed up at 10am, diagnosed and repaired the problem in 15 minutes! Reliable and efficient service! Thank you.

Michael & Scott where here to clean my ducts and once again had very good service from your company that is always thrustworthy.I have been a customer of yours for 20+ and I recommend you all the time,you never let me down yet!!

Neil Durling was the technician that detected the problem which turned out to be the collector boc which showed some cracks. I found him to be very professionel and courteous explaining exactly what transpires how the the condensate gets collected and finds its way to the floor drain.He also checked the heat exchanger tubes at this time.I was impressed with Neil taking time to explain every item that he veryfied.

Question #1 Very satisfied when it was Holmes only but less satisfied now that is Reliance.

I've been relying on Holmes Heating for about 5 years now to maintain our furnace and typically purchase the annual maintenance contract which includes an annual furnace cleaning and free parts and labour for any problems during the year. Although I had let the annual maintenance lapse, they gave me 20% off the service call and I've again renewed the service. Norm was very helpful, diagnosed and repaired the problem quickly (dirty flame sensor) and also pointed out where I was losing heat through the seams in my ventilation ducts and applied tin-tape to all the accessible areas while he was here. I've always had great service from Holmes and will continue to rely on them into the future.
