These were three separate job jobs that each seemed good and lead to the next. The final job was the garage heater which was functional but was a poor installation. The city inspection was left up to me which was failed requiring me to contact L&K; the installer disputed the fail but I again had to deal with the city. There was a recall on the garage heater which I booked off work twice for the repair only to have L&K not show, it took nine months to get the fix. I had the garage heater install modified. Now my A/C is leaking excess water and the diagnosis is an undersized coil in the plenum a $1500 fix. The water heater worked fine but I replaced it recently.

Do you want to be used? Do you want to be made to feel as if you are a second class citizen? Do you want to pay a plumber for making you cry? If so, L&K are the plumbers for you. They are in no rush to call you back for service calls. They can't be bothered. I have gotten goosebumps from them every time they have come in my house. Single females DO NOT USE. The second that they know you are blonde, they will double your price.

I was introduced to Larry & Kathy back in the late 90's after another heating and air conditioning company installed a new furnace for me and did a bad job of it. Not only did they come in and fix up the installation but they got the manufacturer involved on my behalf to help defer some the additional cost I was facing because of the first contractor's poor workmanship. Since then I've used them for all my plumbing, heating and air conditioning needs which has included more than one new furnaces and hot water solutions in residences that I have subsequently moved to as well as more mundane plumbing requirements such as leaky toilets and faucets. Although a relatively small operation, they have knowledgable friendly technicians who take pride in doing the job right. Their prices are reasonable and whether you are a long time customer or just found them in the yellow pages, they will take the time to understand your needs and do their darndest to provide you with the best possible level of service.

We returned home New Years Eve to the house at 6 Celsius. After attempting a restart we called L&K. Over the phone they walked us through trying to restart it on our own before setting up a service call. The service tech arrived about 5pm (did I mention New Years Eve!) and was friendly and quickly determined that the heat exchanger had failed - a shock as it was only 9 years old. A quick discussion with the office determined that replacement was better than repair and plans were made for the technicians return on Jan 2. (thankfully we had a backup source of heat).
Tech arrived early on Jan 2 and the replacement was completed by mid afternoon. Both guys were polite and the work went well. They explained what changes they'd made to ensure it was installed properly (many issues arose over the years due to problems with another company's install) and how the new furnace worked. Best of all I have a warm house and the confidence that this one will last.

I have known these people for over 20 years and find them to be very honest, reliable and down to earth. They will not trick you and try to get more done than what you request. Service like that nowadays in a big city is difficult to find.
