July 2020 kitchen savers came in to install kitchen cabinets, counter top. I’ve had kitchen renovations done before by other companies so I’ve learned not to really pay attention to detail until near the end of the job because they have to level everything, adjust cupboard doors etc. So the week timeframe they gave me to have this renovation done went by and the second week they were doing the finesse work to finish up. That’s when I started to voice my concerns. My one concern was the way the cupboards met up with the ceiling. There was a 3/8 gap at the one end of cupboards and gradually got smaller then bigger and then would be flush. I asked the installer about gap and if there was anything he could do about that and his reply was that’s the best he could do. Well spending 13000 dollars and knowing that back in 1966 when cupboards were installed originally there was no gap. He said maybe he could try and cut another piece of crown moulding to clean up gap. Which he did but same results. I started looking closer at cupboards to see any other imperfections that could be rectified before job was completed. I was totally in disbelief at what I found. The installers name was Saul and in my opinion definitely wasn’t qualified to take on this project. I had found 22 spots where he had missed wall studs and fastening counter top to cupboard. Later I had found out they call those bullet holes. I crawled under the counter to have a look at the cut out for my sink. It had almost looked like he had closed his eyes and just started cutting. There wasn’t a straight cut anywhere and also noticed he had ripped out the support structure of cupboards to make sink fit. I was blown away at the lack of professionalism and he was destroying my new cupboards! I immediately reached out to Mark the owner and voiced my concerns and told him Saul was no longer welcome at my house and I wanted someone else to come out and repair all his mistakes. Mark said I will come out to your house tomorrow and have a look and we will go from there. Week 3 Mark canceled the visit but agreed to send “his best man” to repair and continue on with installation. In the mean time I noticed that my counter top had been dropped and left a crushed end and another spot where it was chipped . I reached out to Mark again and voiced my concerns with countertop. He denied that his man had did this but would offer a warranty on counter top. Which to me is unacceptable! Mark told me that the countertop costs thousands of dollars and will not be replacing it. We agreed I would pay a discounted price on counter top. Which I was not happy with but we are now approaching 1 month without a usable or functional kitchen. I just wanted it done and them out so I could get on with my life and be done. The new worker that Mark had come to finish the job was almost done, but still a lot of issues that hadn’t been rectified yet. I was sick of hearing the term that’s the best you are going to get but the final straw was when he told me what do you expect we are giving you a discount on this kitchen! Needless to say I was again in disbelief this was happening. So kitchen was completed by their standards and they left. I had ordered a new dishwasher to be installed with cupboards but it was late arriving. Finally when it was installed I noticed that there was a support board that should have been installed and never was. Once again reached out to Steph (the designer) and she said oh ok I will bring piece out for you in the next week or so. I didn’t hear from her after a month so another text was put thru. No reply! Now 6months after renovation began I texted her again and no reply! I definitely would not recommend this company and will never have them back!
