Concrete Trimmings

We are very happy with our aggregate pool patio and knee walls Concrete Trimmings did for us. Fair quote and easy process. Hard working and efficient crew. Punctual and communicative, never kept us guessing as to when they were coming. Always has a plan, even around rain days, and delivered 110%. Knew what they were doing. Beautiful results. Truly solid people. Solid company.

Concrete Trimmings completed our drive and path last week.

We were incredibly happy with this company and the end result. Nelio was very helpful in understanding our vision and guided us through this experience. When we had questions (which were a lot) he was very prompt at responding.

When the day had arrived to start the job, the owner showed up and was present throughout the entire three days. His experience and Knowledge was so valuable and great to see. They showed up on time every day and worked really hard.

They were all respectful of our property and the neighbours taking extra care to protect our pool, trees, plants and flowers.

We would reccommend this company highly.

Where do I start, well I first met with Nelio after seeing some of his work in my neighbourhood. We discussed doing a flat exposed aggregate driveway with borders and 4 steps square edge. When the job was done it was three steps (not to code) with poorly done borders with a driveway that slope right to left (see pic of suv in driveway tilted to the side. I was unhappy as you can imagine and Nelio said he would tear out half the driveway and redo the steps....that was on a Thursday. On the Monday he spoke with his Father in Law Fernando and Fernando said no way. We agreed to a discount for the work and I paid him in full (I have still not received a receipt). Coincidentally another concrete contractor was doing work on my street and I had him come by to look at my job. He was surprised that Concrete Trimmings did not use rebar, could not believe they sloped the driveway because it was not necessary and when he measured out my steps informed me that they were not to code in riser height. He also commented on the borders and the hole left in my step. I then contacted Nelio and his office asking for Fernando (owner) and Nelio to come back so we could discuss these issues....no response. I texted Nelio and can see that Nelio is reading my texts (no response)..the office has received three emails (no response).. This is a warning to those looking to have Concrete Trimmings do their work. Be sure to have everything documented and signed off on, such as how many steps, the profile of the step edge, the border stamp pattern and be sure to find out how they will be sloping the concrete. As you can imagine we are extremely disappointed, which is why I am doing this review.

The Concrete trimmings team were great to work with. The crew that created the forms for our complex steps were completely amazing and worked quickly and efficiently. We had 7 steps of 5" each in order to help a sister in law with mobility issues and the team was just excellent all the way. I've just had stone steps installed on top of their base and the result is completely beautiful. Couldn't be happier with their work.

Concrete trimming provided us with an outstanding quality of concrete work. Nelio and his crew were always on time, cooperative, informative, friendly, and always there to answer in questions or concerns.

We had many quotes and I recieved many addresses of work done in our neighborhood.We waited a few weeks but it was well worth it.One quote was actually over $10,000!It is a perfect job from last summer!

We hired Concrete Trimmings to redo our front steps with aggregate concrete. We were very pleased with the work crew they sent and their work. Also, they showed up and did the work when they said they would. The men were excellent on keeping the area clean while they were working. We had a minor problem with one area and Concrete Trimmings fixed it in a timely fashion. We would highly recommend Concrete Trimmings.

Nelio (Concrete Trimmings) came out to quote the work in June and after a bit of a busy season was out to do the work in Sept. His guys started the work Sept 7th and finished everything (front entrance patio & stairs, front & side walkway, driveway french curbs) within 3 days. His team were professional and took care in their work. With the exception of one area of the front patio which did not seam to "expose" as well, I was very pleased with the balance of the exposed aggregate results.

We plan to eventually have the side/back walkway done and will have Nelio out to complete this job for us.

Had Concrete Trimmings by to do a quote and Nelio showed up and designed a great exposed aggregate and stamp border patio and had a walkway at the side of the house done as well. A few weeks past and Nelio and his crew showed up and 3 days later had the project completed. His workers were courteous and worked hard. They did a great job and will have them back next year to do the front of my house.

We have been contacting Concrete Trimmings since October 30, 2016, a mere 2 months after having the concrete installed on our property.
when the sealer began to discolour and a crack started to develop. We were assured that the sealer and crack would be dealt with at the beginning of this season when the weather allowed, which we understood. We heard nothing at all from the company this spring. We had to contact the company again on July 6, 2017. Nelio came to meet with my husband and made it clear that this fix was a waste of his time. His manner was hostile, unprofessional and combative with my husband. He gave my husband an assurance, after a very unpleasant conversation, that he would bring a crew in August. We heard nothing from the company in the intervening time. Contacted them today via email and phone only to be told that they will fix it...sometime, no timeframe. Poor workmanship, poor service and poor follow-up.
