Terrible customer service and not truthful sales reps who sell old products

Stay away from this appliances provider. Read reviews before making a decision.

Purchased a floor model Thermador fridge from the Appliance Canada showroom. Salesperson insured us that it was as good as new and was covered by factory warranty. The fridge ended up not working even for 1 minute after delivery... apparently, it did not work while it was on a showroom floor and the salespeople just needed to get rid of it. Took 4 visits from Thermador and over one month of time for technicians to realize that the fridge is not fixable. They also mentioned that the model we bought was made in 2011 (thanks to Appliance Canada for not mentioning that).

During these 4 - 5 weeks, my family had to live without the fridge, eat out all the time and make ourselves available for service appointments during the workdays. Expenses, expenses, expenses... "Fantastic experience"...

Finally, after over a month Thermador decided to replace our unfixable fridge. By 'replacing' they actually meant issuing a store credit of about $4000 for a floor model fridge... (regular price over $8000). Personally, I don't think that it's fair on behalf of Thermador and they had to actually replace the item with a working one, but hey, whatever, we needed a new fridge. Thermador is a whole different story.

Called Appliance Canada and purchased another fridge from them (this time brand new, no floor models), had to pay another $4200 extra to get it. This is where the fun stuff began to happen.

Apparently Appliance Canada subcontract installers and delivery to independent contractors who are not connected in any way with each other or the sales department in Appliance Canada.

We were told by the sales rep that the installer will come to our house to disconnect the broken fridge and take the panels off. We were given the phone number of the installer whom we had to contact ourselves and schedule the time.

Okay, no problem. Called the guy, he came and uninstalled the appliance. Asked us to call him back and schedule another visit once the fridge is delivered (remember? delivery people don't install anything).

A sales rep told us that delivery people will call us a couple of days in advance and will give us a timeslot of when the new fridge will be delivered. Guess what? I receive a call at 11AM from a random person saying that they have my fridge and they will be at our house in 45 minutes... Well.... whatever gets me the new fridge. I take off from work and rush to the house.

When delivery people arrived it works out that there are 3 steps leading to our front yard and another 5 steps leading to the porch. Thus they can't bring the 30-inch fridge inside and I have to call back the store to reschedule the delivery so they could bring more men with them. WHAAAAT? ARE YOU SERIOUS!? How was the first fridge delivered?

Called customer service ASAP just to hear from the manager that there is nothing he could do and we should've informed him of the stairs... SERIOUSLY? Why did not you ask about the stairs? How the original fridge was delivered in the first place? After going back and forth he promised to call me back in 30 minutes. At the time of writing this, it's been over 3 hours since that promise, every time I call Appliance Canada and ask for that manager, he is magically busy with something.

My question to Appliance Canada. Is this really the experience you want your clients to have?

- Living without the fridge for almost 2 months because your sales rep sold us a non-working floor model which was 5-6 years old and did not tell us about that
- Taking numerous days of work to accommodate service calls, deliveries, installers etc... (these days do cost money to working people)
- Trying to arrange your subcontractors because your sales reps are only sales reps and you have no people to deal with any of that, you simply sell, outsource the rest and forget...
- Finally, on the day of the delivery for the new $9000 fridge, rush out of the meeting and work and fly home because you got only 45-minute notice instead of promised delivery window couple of days in advance and then have delivery people refuse to bring the fridge in?
- Talk to the manager and get blamed for not mentioning front yard stairs. Really? Don't you have that in your CRM after the first delivery? We did not even think of that.

Truly poor customer service and experience, especially after living for almost 2 months without the fridge.

At the time of writing this, we have no idea what is going on. We have uninstalled broken fridge at home and paid for $9000 fridge somewhere in the truck... no one is telling us what is going to happen. Extremely upsetting given our situation.

We are lost right now and have no idea what to do. Appliance Customer service keeps sending us to voicemails of some 'managers' the promised to deal with our problems for the last 2 month.

Before working with Appliance Canada, read their reviews and reconsider. They are not worth it.

Washing Machine/Fridge

We purchased an extended warranty for 4 appliances that we purchased. In the last year we have had to use there extended warranty. Our Fridge was broken for 8 weeks and our washer is has been broken since Dec, 4th, 2018. First it takes them an hour to answer your call, then they tell you some one will call in 2 days. Maybe they call and then they schedule a repair man in about a weeks time. He comes out and looks at the problem and tells you it will be 2 weeks to get parts. (It doesn't take 2 weeks to get a part), then the phone and schedule the service man in another week. He then shows up and the main part in Wrong..... back to 2 more weeks of waiting. This is Very Poor Service. Still waiting.

Any Good Review About This Company Has to be False

I can't believe that anyone could have had a good experience with this company. I wish I would of read all the prior reviews to mine before making my purchase with them. I have had the exact same experience as everyone else . . . Treated so nicely right up until delivery day. Then the nightmare began. Two out of three appliances were damaged. After many arguments and my husband having to visit the showroom they replaced my stove. Today I am waiting for a new fridge. I thought someone put a hidden camera inside it to film our reaction every time something broke, and that we were going to end up on some kind of reality show, I couldn't believe what was happening. First the door was dented and they replaced it with another damaged door. The third door couldn't be delivered because it was damaged too. Shortly after the motor started making popping noises that progressively got louder until today when it now sounds like our fridge makes popcorn for us. Then the chrome finish started peeling off the shelves inside the fridge. Literally every part of it is peeling, dented or broken in some way. These are supposed to be high end appliances, but really all we got was a high end nightmare.Who knows what condition this replacement fridge will come in? I am praying this nightmare will end. My advice . . . STAY AWAY FROM APPLIANCE CANADA!!

Stay AWAY from it

Do NOT buy anything from this "company" - they will deliver lemon appliance and then claim that a vendor will fix it under warranty and will never follow up with you. Purchased $3500 GE stove from them, never worked, GE confirmed the issue and told that replace something upon availability of the parts.
3 weeks later we still there - no stove, no support
All they care is you to pa\y money and work right away.

Incompetent

I recommend that everyone stays far away from this company. I have never had a worse experience! Its been a month without a fridge. The company has huge communication issues and is unable to book a simple replacement. Good luck getting in touch with a rep. After seeing these reviews, I am not sure how the company is still standing. Training is required for all departments. Developers need to stop dealing with them.

Terrible service for a major Reno

I have to start by saying that this is my very first review ever written regarding a company's performance...I am so fed up with them that I though I should share my experience...My friends also have had same issues with them ....I Spent at least $15000 buying appliances . I have never seen anything like their service! it is terrible . every single delivery , something went wrong... they kept delivering wrong appliances , scratching my floor and they kept promising that they will compensate for all the terrible service, and they still haven't !!! I keep sending them emails every week after two months and they just ignore it. This is not at all the service I was expecting from a large company... don't waste your time !

A nightmare to deal with from day 1 and continues

Bought a kitchen full of appliances from this company in 2016. Everything up until they got payment on my appliances was wonderful. From there it became a night mare. Appliances were not delivered on the day and time they said. I lost money because I had contractors and electrician in my home waiting to install them. I had to pay these people their hourly wage to sit and do nothing because Appliance Canada failed.
Fast forward to 6 months after installation - oven stops working. Called them for service, they tried t charge me 200.00 for the repair, saying the wall oven has to be removed from the wall and we need to men to do that, so you have to pay for it. Where else would you expect a WALL OVEN to be installed other than in a WALL? At no time during my purchase did they ever disclose this to me. They said, it's in your manufacture manual. That manual was in the box with the appliance on the day it was delivered (AFTER I had bought and paid for it). This was a material fact that needed to be disclosed PRIOR to me buying, because it would have affected my decision to buy. You cannot deceive customer by slipping information in small print into a box that gets delivered to them AFTER they have purchased a product.
Fast forward: in less than a year of owning these appliances I have had 3 repairs...each repair I was without the use of my oven for approx 20-25 days. Same problem each time - buttons on the control panel stop responding. I was told when I bought my appliances (I have 3 witnesses who were with me the day I bought and heard the saleperson say this to me when he was trying to sell me extended warranty: "if we have to repair an appliance 3 times we will replace it".
Conversation with Samira, Customer Service Mgr today and she said "that's not true, we don't replace ovens we will continue to repair them". Yeah, that's not gonna happen I guarantee you of that. I will not continue to go on like this and be without the use of my oven every few months for about 25 days at a time until my extended warranty wears out. It will not happen. I also suspect they're repairing with used parts.
Samira also said and I quote: "You have to give us a chance to fix this". My response: "You've had 3 chances to fix this and you have failed, now you need to make a decision as to how you're going to handle this to resolve this problem once and for all or I will need to take matters into my own hands and forge ahead with a lawsuit for breach of contract."
She said: "Well now we're going to get Bosch involved this time , and explain to them that the technician told you there is a problem with thee control panels and they need to do something about it".
Interesting words. Why? Because those words were exactly what she said to me in Aug when the oven broke. I have kept a detailed account and recording of all my dealings with Appliance Canada and all my conversations. I went back and checked and in Aug she said those exact same words to me.
So here I am without the use of my oven again. Initially placed my repair call this time on Nov 16th, 2017, it's now Nov 28th and still no one has shown up. Yet I was told a repair person would contact me within 24 to 48 hrs. It's now been 12 days.
Do you see the pattern of deceit and dishonesty here?

Frigidaire Dishwasher

I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with Frigidaire! This is not the same quality company that our parents use to believe in. My dishwasher, purchased new 4 years ago for $800 has always given us issues. Fortunately we purchased an extended service contract. 1 year ago right before my warranty ended we had to replace the whole control panel. Now 1 year later, the same piece needs replacing again at a cost of $330. I called Frigidaire who was nice enough to offer me names of people in the area that could fix it (at my cost). Thanks for nothing! Obviously the part wouldn't cost them $330 and yet no support that in 4 years there product is worth garbage. I work in the automotive industry where people are quick to hold me accountable even if it's the manufacturer's fault, often times I need to pay to keep customers happy. This doesn't seem to be the same practice in the appliance world I guess! I will be buying a new dishwasher and it won't be a Frigidaire.
