I spent a lot of time on Homestars, looking through reviews for electrical companies. I called RLC Electric after finding many good reviews for smaller electrical jobs. I called and set up an appointment for the following week. Ralph confirmed the appointment a couple of days before the scheduled appointment.
I had an outlet repaired, and a crystal chandelier installed in the dining room. The original chain fixture from the dining room was moved upstairs to a room with a high ceiling. The chandelier had some mounting parts missing and the wires were a bit short (due to whoever installed/removed it in the past two moves). I had no idea about these problems, until Ralph and Frank were preparing the chandelier for installation. Luckily, spare parts were in stock in their truck, so the installation went ahead as planned.
RLC does not re-wire chandeliers, they only install. If a chandelier has been through a few moves and wires have been cut short for whatever reason, be sure to have it re-wired at a lighting shop beforehand, to avoid any installation problems!
Ralph and Frank were on time, courteous and professional. They brought in a clean drop sheet to cover the carpet before starting the work. They offered to clean up, hang the crystals and move the table. I had to finish cleaning the crystals and get some replacements, so I declined.
I had this work done for my parents (their house). I am happy with how everything turned out, especially with the chandelier in the dining room.
I will call RLC Electric for any future electrical work.
