Miele Dishwasher, installed, xtra warranty

After 2 failure from another dealer, I went to the top. Told them I anticipated a problem with wiring or plumbing due to inept previous installers.They babysat my whole purchase, and I have something I can use for years, knowing they have my back.Continuous making sure I was happy at every step.

All new appliances

This review is for the PICKERING location specifically. We ordered all new appliances from Ali at the Pickering Tasco location. This included oven, fridge, microwave, wine cooler, dishwasher, washer & dryer. Ali was helpful with finding us the appliances we wanted. He never pressured us into buying something we didn't want and was happy to answer all of our questions. Our renovation ended up getting delayed and we had to push back the appliance delivery multiple times without any hassle. Appliances were delivered when we finally had a firm date set, and no problems there either. We haven't had them install any of the appliances. This review is for the purchase and delivery.

Fridge

Horrible customer service. Needed to hire 3 people to have fridge uninstalled, delivered, and reinstalled.
I will say their delivery crew was fantastic.
Horrible customer service resulting in us having to wait 4 extra days for our fridge (4 days with no fridge) because we didn't pay in full - even though they wouldn't allow us to in store. Said 2nd half had to be paid in cash?!! Had to open an Internet banking account. Seems fishy.
I would never recommend them. Ever.

Dryer (Bosch)

Bought enitre house package ( the works - high end everything, stove, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, buit in coffee maker, 2 washer /dryers…. over 60k worth ) Long story short one of the Bosch dryers never worked and now have had 5 service calls with 2 different comoanies and Bosch will not replace but is now sending yet another technician to try to fix. It is a 1400 dryer and I have had to take off work 5 times ( you know how they work they block out a 4 hour window) . After 3 attempts the one serviceman said he would submit recomendation to replace non working Unit . But to save money Bosch sent their own technicain ) not sure why the other one was used if he could not fix Bosch dryer) , Anyways Bosch technician 2 visits later still not working and Bosch still insists on sending yet another technician - come on at some point just recognize I bought a defective product and replace it please 5 (soon 6 ) visists over 3 months . and they have never got it to work . And for a 1400 dryer !!! Have no idea what 5 /6 service calls cost but I am tired of taking off work for a dryer that never worked and seemingly cannot be fixed . Tasco has been utterly useless throughout - not returning calls ( thanks Jeremy ) and So I called Tasco again to plead that they do something with their manufacturer , and you got it they said they had nothing to do with Bosch and it waas between Bosch and me . Fair enough but why did they sell me a Bosch product and what is their role to get me a working dryer … did I not buy from them a brand nbew working dryer ?? It seems they will gladly take my money but not help their customer . Do not get me started on Bosch … NEVER ever ever buy a Bosch product .. it is not worth the hassle if it does not work/breaksdown … even though you might have a warranty (useless) . Shame on TASCO and Bosch. Hope they get what they deserve .

Fridge Fiasco - Tasco's attitude is colder than the coolant

In very simple terms...

Replaced an old fridge with a new fridge by Tasco, who assured us it would fit (and charged us to assess it).

Demanded immediate payment in full (certified money order or cash) the day before delivery when we were never informed of this procedure.

Have had numerous fitment issues resulting in failures in the door springs/lights and surrounding cupboards.

Tasco has set up appointments for repair. Repairmen have not shown on numerous occasions without a word from anyone on anything.

Regardless of whether they do show, nothing permanent has been fixed.

Still trying to resolve or escalate this.

Gas Oven

Ordered a GE gas range and was told 2 weeks delivery from factory. Arrived on time but was not the new model I ordered but an out of box showroom model. No one seemed to know why that happened, I was offered a $50.00 rebate. I sent it back and had to wait again for my NEW range. Only reason I gave them 1 star was that the delivery staff were excellent.

Great Appliances, Great Prices

Had I read reviews of Tasco online before going in, I might not have done so. But I'm glad I did - we found the exact appliances we were looking for in their large showroom. Our salesperson (Peter) had no issues with us waiting a bit until the brand we were looking at went on sale - and when it did, he called us and we saved even more money. Delivery was right on time, the appliances work awesome (all KitchenAid).

Note: We did not have them install any appliances so I can't speak to that

MISLEADING BUSINESS PRACTISES

Horrible experience with Tasco. We were on the fence about adding a steam oven to our appliance package. The sales rep urged us to order it and we can cancel the order anytime before delivery. Well, we configurated the kitchen and didn't have space for it - so we contacted them to take it off the order. At that point the salesman reneged on the agreement and it turned into me losing my 10% discount on all the appliances and another 10% restocking fee for an item that never even shipped.

To make matters worse, the salesman now has completely reversed his story. It became clear he coerced us into adding it so he could get his commission.

Their management doesn't seem to care either - I called to discuss with the sales manager and she never bothered calling me back.

Hey, I only dropped 28k in high end appliances why should I expect transparency and fair dealing.

After buying appliances at Tasco for many years there, I will never ever use them again.

What Does Tasco Give You For Your $16,000 purchase? Utter failure of Customer Service over DOA appliance. Won't credit it, won't replace it. Just pass the buck to the manufacturer.

We spent $16,000 on appliances at Tasco's Dundas St. and Winston Churchill showroom for our new home. Our $1300 Avantgarde wine fridge is a lemon, dead on arrival. After two months of asking for a credit or replacement, we've instead had two service calls and two part replacements and nothing has changed: the fridge heats the side set to the low temperature, chills the side set to high. Oh and if you fancy a high pitched alarm that can only be turned off by unplugging, then this is the unit for you!
How naive were we to expect this could be simply and efficiently sorted by contacting Tasco? Our Tasco salesman took a week to reply and then - and repeated since - only to say it's on the manufacturer, not Tasco and we have to deal with them.
Seriously?
Zero standing behind the products you sell?
FYI Tasco, other retailers have Customer Satisfaction guarantees under which they'll take the product back if the customer is not happy even if there's nothing technically wrong with it.
The purchaser of a broken brand new product should be made whole by the seller.
But because we were getting nowhere with them, we did contact Avantgarde directly. They said they'd arrange a service call. Five weeks later ... crickets. It took several more emails to Tasco and another direct call to Avantgarde to get someone out.
The two service calls were by a third party service company. The second service call technician seemed unfamiliar with the product and spend most of his time calling in for assistance. Both times, a part was replaced. Nothing has been fixed.
Interestingly, the only promising and prompt reply from Tasco to date was when I called them out publicly on Twitter.
I guess they just wanted me to stop talking about them because their looking into it has amounted to ... zero response or followup.
FYI if you're shopping for appliances: Goemans is also owned by them so consider whether you want to risk giving them your business as well.

UPDATE: Situation resolved. Lemon collected and replacement delivered this a.m. Right fix but wrong process - 2 months of frustration and buck-passing ended only after I took my complaint public online. It makes me uneasy to think people who know how to leverage social media to publicly call out a company get results. What about everyone else?

Still can't get service

So finally got agreement from store to return incorrectly ordered item after being told the salesperson would not have ordered incorrectly we did (even thought we have pictures and email to prove otherwise). Now the returns says they are charing us half the purchase price because a box was opened by the TASCO installer (not by us) who couldn't complete the installation AND only 1 of the three boxes was opened and it was the venting not even the hood or the bower. It is not possible to get good service from this company and we now realize we are not getting our issue resolved we are going to lose our money and have to go somewhere else. Do not shop here. Really.
