I'm going to start with the positives and say that our installers were fantastic, worked very hard and we couldn't be more happy with them. They got to our place when they were scheduled to, and dealt with our previous door which was a disaster. Did not look like a fun job, but they made sure it all got done and kept us involved along the way to make sure we would be happy with the end result. We've only had the door and sidelights installed for a week now, but we're happy with the quality of the product Our only negative would be the sales guy we dealt with. During the initial consult, we weren't 100% sure on the direction we wanted to take, but we were told by the sales guy this wasn't a problem and to just contact him if we decided we wanted to change anything as it would take a while for the order to go through, proper measurements to be taken, etc. Phone calls and emails went unanswered, eventually we talked to head office but it was very frustrating to say the least. Eventually we were able to change our order but it was a painful process. To summarize, good product and great, hardworking installers but I wouldn't deal with that sales rep again.

Let me start off by saying that the only reason I'm giving Toronto Granite a 10/10 is based on quality and service, which I think is very important. There are a bunch of granite/quartz places where you might be able to get cheaper quotes, but just make sure you're comfortable with what you're getting, who is doing the manufacturing and the install. We visited their shop on a weekend and they were very patient while we went through a ton of samples and tried to find something that didn't totally break the bank that we were still happy with. The hardest part was choosing the material! Everything else was smooth sailing. We were given a rough estimate on spot based on some drawings/kitchen plans. A couple days later, they came out to our place to do proper measurements and give us an exact quote (which wasn't too far off the estimate). A week or so later everything was ready and they came to install. Our appliances weren't installed at the time, but the installers didn't think we needed a filler piece behind the stove (the stove was there and they took some measurements). I guess because of how the stove actually slides in, there was a decent sized gap at the back that we weren't happy with (1-2in). We contacted them and they said no problem. Had a guy come a few days later with the filler piece. Overall, a very good experience!

Had a great experience with Bloor Railings! After getting quotes from multiple railing installers and having a difficult time finding someone we felt comfortable with, we decided to have Bloor install our railings. As soon as we first started talking to them and met with Gino, we knew it would be the right choice. VERY easy to deal with. It was about a two week process start to end, including us making decisions and finding time to visit their shop. We were given an initial quote, Gino was very accommodating with us visiting the shop and choosing our final materials, he came by our house to do all the measurements, and a week or so later we had our railing installed! He did a ton of measurements and walked us through exactly where every piece would go and everything would line up so that we would be happy with the final result. Big thanks to Gino and his team for making it all happen so seamlessly with such a great result! Just to be 100% transparent, we already had our own person lined up to do the staining, so I'm commenting strictly on the railing manufacture/install.

Had a very good experience with Floor Fashion Centre in Pickering. Robb was very helpful from day 1, being very patient and going through a ton of samples with us. Came to our place and measured exactly when he said they would, installed exactly when they said they would, and everything turned out great. Thanks!

We hired Ben to install our kitchen cabinet lighting. Very happy with how everything turned out! Took our kitchen to a whole new level. He was very responsive from the moment I contacted him and his attention to detail is top notch. We did a very large renovation and Ben was definitely one of the best people we dealt with through the entire job. I will be contacting him for anything electrical related in the future.

Bought some faux wood/barnboard tile from Tile House earlier this year. The tile itself was expensive as far as tile goes, but looks amazing! Very happy with how our bathrooms turned out using this tile. We also found a backsplash tile we like there and will be going back to get that shortly. The only reason I wouldn't give a perfect 10/10 rating is because of the pricing. Their sale items are very reasonable and worth looking at, otherwise expect to pay quite a bit relative to some other stores. Other than that, staff is friendly and there's a fairly diverse selection to choose from.

This review is for the PICKERING location specifically. We ordered all new appliances from Ali at the Pickering Tasco location. This included oven, fridge, microwave, wine cooler, dishwasher, washer & dryer. Ali was helpful with finding us the appliances we wanted. He never pressured us into buying something we didn't want and was happy to answer all of our questions. Our renovation ended up getting delayed and we had to push back the appliance delivery multiple times without any hassle. Appliances were delivered when we finally had a firm date set, and no problems there either. We haven't had them install any of the appliances. This review is for the purchase and delivery.

Hired Chuck-It to get rid of an entire garage full of renovation junk. Tiles, wood, carpet, bathtubs, you name it. He came, quoted the job, and got rid of our junk quickly. We loaded most of it into the garage, so I know how much work it must have been. Not only did they get rid of it all, they left the garage cleaner than it was before! It was a nice treat to come home to. Very happy with these guys.

We called Markham Flooring to get quotes on many different hardwood choices from many different manufacturers. Randy was who we dealt with primarily, but anyone we ever talked to there was more than helpful. They were not only competitive in pricing, but very helpful throughout. We ended up choosing them for doing our entire hardwood job (approx. 1600 sqft). It was a 7.5" engineered board, so there was a little more involved in the install, but not a problem. Also had our install arranged through them, and the three install guys that came were all very nice and got the work done quickly but not rushed. Our floors look great and we have already gotten tons of compliments from anyone who has seen them!

We were having a new washer/dryer installed and figured it was worth cleaning out the dryer vent. Being new owners of the home we had no idea when or if it had ever been done. It was really bad but Rupert got it all cleaned out for us. A smaller job, but he gave us the quote quickly, came quickly to get the job done and was more than easy to deal with. Would recommend this company based on this. Thanks!

Our top floor was about 5 degrees hotter than the main floor on very hot summer days (it was 28 degrees one day with the AC set at 23!). We knew the insulation in the attic looked low and it was builder grade. Plus we had been doing renos so it got moved around and some had fallen down. Figured it was a good idea to have it looked at. Mark came in quickly and sent a quote through shortly after. They came a week later and blew in new insulation, leaving no mess behind and not even a smudge on our new hardwood floors. Best part is, the top floor is consistently only a degree warmer than the main floor (3 floor home) on the hottest days now! Who knew it would make such a difference. These guys are good!

Had our quartz vanity top installed yesterday by Quartz Countertops. It looks great! Mike is great to deal with and we will be going back to him for our kitchen counters.

Hired Adrian to run network cables to three bedrooms and a family room, along with a couple TV cables. We live in a 3 story home, so it was quite impressive to see him find ways to get the cables from top to bottom and side to side. He did it all without having to cut any large holes in the drywall, although I should mention we had a couple walls open due to renovations. Either way, I don't think he would have done much harm. He also cares about keeping his work very neat and tidy. Everything looks great and well organized! When we had the Rogers guy come to install, he was very impressed with everything that had been done. I'll be contacting Adrian for any future wiring needs and have already given his name to a few contractors I've been working with.

Hired Mike to do a couple painting jobs for our renovation. He responded promptly to all of our questions & requests. Completed the job quickly and was able to work with our schedule. We've dealt with a lot of trades during our renovation and he was among the best. Already recommended him to a few friends and will continue to do so! Thanks Mike!

We did a full home renovation this year that included 4 bathrooms. Most of our tile was purchased at Tile Zone. After doing a ton of tile shopping across the GTA, we found them to be very friendly and helpful. Their pricing we some of the best we've seen. You have to do quite a bit of digging around because they have a large selection (especially for a smaller store!). Check it out. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

We had the popcorn ceilings removed from our entire house (2000sqft or so) by Ceiling Stucco Removal. Debated doing this ourselves as part of a whole house renovation and very glad we didn't. It's a messy job but I think our ceilings look significantly better now. We had a few people through to quote, but since this is all these guys do they seemed like the best choice. One of the guys ended up coming back to do some touch ups on areas we pointed out. Forget his name, but he was very friendly and helpful. There were still a few areas that we had to touch up after in terms of paint, but it wasn't the end of the world. They did the hardest part! Should also mention that they work quickly. Came home after they worked there for a day and all the popcorn was down already. A lot of the work looks like it goes more into the repair and making it look good after the scraping. To summarize, if you're debating doing this, it makes a huge difference and make sure you get the pros in to do it.
