Misleading/Frustrating after sales support
2013 bought 4 appliances: Fridge, Stove, Over Range Microwave & Dishwasher our cost $8000 from Richmond Hill Store.
The microwave inverter component blew up 3 times Oct 2015, Nov 2016 Dec 2017.
No support from sales rep Vince who washed his hands of it and told us to call Comerco, & then Transglobal, etc - much frustration and long waits for service repairs each time - can you believe - the same part must breakdown 3 times before the appliance is replaced? After 3rd time, Comerco finally agreed to replace the original cost of $579 + taxes in a Tasco in store credit.(Dec 20 2017)
On Jan 4, we went to the Richmond Hill Store to choose our replacement. We had to deal with Vince again. He spent 2 hours and tried several tactics & phone calls to reduce our replacement amount of $579 as agreed to by Comerco.
1. He tried to reduce the credit because we had 5 years of usage-with 3 blowups.
2. He tried to reclaim $100 in store rebate we had received at the time of the original purchase for $8,000.
3. Finally,
he tells us we owe $381 to Tasco and we have to pay this if we want our new replacement microwave. Of the $381, $281 for delivery, installation & removal of a small appliance that we offered to take home ourselves - he refused. However, Comerco told us that some retailers don't charge , our luck Vince did. And Finally, $99 for an extended warranty we had to take from Tasco because it is not offered by Samsung.
We experienced underhanded, sneaky, mean spirited service from a nasty sales rep. We ended up paying an additional $381 for a microwave for which we had been given a legitimate total credit from Comerco.
