Unsturdy beds

I feel ripped off. My fiancee and I are starting our lives together, and we wanted to invest in a solid, comfortable bed. We believed Sleep Country to be reputable and of quality. You pay for what you get for, right?

We first bought the Bloom Lift adjustable base for 1200$ on the 11th of December, 2022. The salesman was jumping up and down on the bed frame in the store. Within a few short months, multiple legs bent and broke, severely scratching our floor. Sleep country sent us more legs, and those in turn broke as well. We were resigned to sleeping with our mattress on the floor because the bed frame was so severely compromised. After much haggling, they allowed us to exchange the bed frame (they would not allow a refund).

We upgraded, and paid more, for the Malouf Blackwell bed frame. We paid 180$ more, and we received the bed on the 11th of September 2023. Again, within a few short months we were experiencing unsteadiness with the bed. There is a sole support leg in the middle of the bed, which is only fastened with 1 screw. Whenever you sit, move, etc, the leg moves around and scratches the floor. Needless to say, this is uncomfortable.

I can't believe, after spending over a thousand dollars per bed frame, to AGAIN be having structural issues. I mean come on. Sleep Country, founded in 1994, have yet to decipher the complexities in creating beds which can support human beings! Neither myself, nor my girlfriend are overweight. And even if we were, their beds should be built with some forgiveness! Imagine if sleep country was in the bridge building industry. Yikes.

I've been in contact with sleep country regarding this second bed, and they have been far from helpful. They state the sale was final. I was not made aware of that at the time! The only notice I got of that was on the receipt, in fine print of course.

Utterly frustrated, I wanted to leave a review on the sleep country website for the Bloom Lift, as well as the Malouf Blackwell. There is no option to do so on the website. So I asked customer support for help. Again, no help. They closed the chat on me instead. Incredible.

There are only 2 reviews for the Malouf bed, both of which are 5/5 stars.

I applaud sleep country for this incredible bamboozle. 5/5 stars.

I will never purchase from sleep country again.

Terrible Warranty Coverage & Customer Care

I purchased my mattress from Sleep Country five years ago, investing over $1000, expecting durability and reliability. However, despite using a supportive box spring and bed frame, the body indentation has exceeded 1.5 inches deep, clearly meeting the criteria for warranty coverage. Yet, I was shocked to find out that even though the mattress's sinking surpassed the threshold, the warranty was voided due to minor staining. This rigid policy demonstrates a lack of consideration for customers who have invested significant amounts in their products. I would not recommend Sleep Country to anyone, given their unwillingness to stand behind their products and prioritize customer satisfaction.

First time bought and will never buy again

Bought mattress but sagged in a year though I had 5 years warranty. Warranty claimed for replacement. They asked me to charge$ if technician had to come inspect the mattress at home. They didnt send technician home. I sent them photos and they denied the warranty claim. Lesson for others

Chiropractor mattress

Well, I bought a chiropractor mattress from Sleep Country cuz I have a bad back and they recommend this mattress for me. I noticed I've been getting a lot of little fluffies on the mattress so I pick them out or try and vacuum them to get them out but it's very hard it's like sleeping on crumbs. So that being said. I phoned the manufacturer and they told me that is not a defect. really because I think that is a defect well lesson learned will not buy anything from there again

Very difficult to prove your complaint

King size Beautyrest Imperial. The worst purchase we've ever made in our 37 years of marriage.
These mattresses come with a warranty that will replace if the mattress sags more than 1-1/2". The problem is that the pillow top design makes it impossible to prove your case. The support below the pillow top collapse and gives you extreme back aches like we have never had before but the pillow top remains fairly flat therefore your claim is denied. Their "Priority One" online claim form is a joke! I could go on and on but I'm just too tired! We spent over $2500, don't! Buy a cheaper mattress and it will last just as long at 25% the cost.
Don't waste your money with this company. They should be shut down and investigated.

Mattress cooling - even in winter.

I bought a Tempur ProBreeze TEAL mattress in Feb. 2021. The advertising that sold me was that it would cool you by about 10 deg. What they DIDN'T tell me was that it also did this in the winter. It was actually too cold to sleep on. I went back and talked to them about this, and asked if using a mattress warmer cover on it would work. I was told that this would "probably" void the warranty. They suggested covering the mattress with a heavy blanket. I did so, and it helped. In late spring I removed the blanket. We found that the mattress no longer cooled our bodies when it was hot.

In the 3 years since I bought this mattress, it has developed depressions where we most often lay on it. I am handicapped, and to turn over is a struggle uphill with just one usable arm.

Not happy, no 100 days

Please read all reviews before making a purchase
Please dont waste your money in this company. Please read all the reviews before you make a purchase.
I asked the manager of the store about the return policy of the mattress before I buy it. I bought it for my father (who had 3 lower back surgeries). My father only used the mattress for 1 week and the doctor ordered a special mattress and bed for him. The manager said your father has100 days to try it, no problem if he doesnt like it, we can do something if he doesnt feel comfortable using it. He didnt give information about no return policy and exchange only. The customer service treated me so bad and they yelled at me. After trying so hard and pushing the customer service, they accepted refund of the mattress but the manager of customer service said I have to pay %25 of the total price. I am a student and my parents are with ODSP. Financially we are not stable. The customer service manager said the no return policy is written in the receipt and in the small red envelope they provided to me when I paid for the mattress. He is wrong and I went through the receipt and the red envelope, but I didnt find a word regarding return policy. Then he said he will call me back. After reading all the documents they provide to the customers during purchase, he called me back and said why I didnt check the website before buying the item as it is written in the small red booklet to go to the website for more details. First of all, they provide the red envelope after the purchase is completed. Second they do not refund any items once you purchase it.I dont have data in my phone and I was not able to access the website even after the purchase. They do not have any computer in the store for customers to access the website for more information. Why the manager did not tell me to go to the website for return policy when I asked him for more details about return policies. He knew that I was not going to buy the mattress for my father with a poor condition. He tried to sell it to me. This 25% should come out of the managers pocket who didnt give me enough information and customer service manager said I should have checked the website. Will they know that its not your mistake but still they try to take money from you. I know a lot of people who complain about their customer service. I have to go to the media and inform everyone how they play with their customers. I will also do a lawsuit to fight for my parents money. Please help me and comment.

Matress 100 day comfort gaurentee

Tried to get comfort exchange. then drivers that were picking up and delivering said there were defects, although that never said to us. Now they say it is a warranty issue and wont give us the more expensive mattress. Say we will have to go through customer service. I phoned store and they said we have to go through customer service. I said if it is a warranty issue that you say now why would you not take the mattress and leave us the one we paid extra for. Long story short hopefully we will get new mattress that we paid for and they would not leave. What service and lots of run around. Never again here.
