3 Piece Bathroom rough in

I put in a call after hours and received a call back the next day. Deanna was very nice and our estimate was done quickly. Our appointment was not an emergency and arrangements to get the job done was quite easy. This was a friendly team of people and the job was efficiently completed. I would not hesitate to use their services again.

Plumbing Repairs

I called Prairie one Friday when my mother needed repairs done to her home. Roy took my call and was very helpful and fun to talk to. The appointment was scheduled for Tuesday at 8:30 am. On Monday Deanna called to confirm the appointment. I was very impressed with her knowledge and professionalism and she was extremely friendly. The next morning Daryl and Quinton showed up on time and were very friendly.

It took them 5 1/2 hrs to complete all the work which included installing 2 sprinklers in the furnace room, replacing the water meter shut off valve, replacing 2 kitchen faucets, replacing the outside tap and it's shut off valve, installing shut off valves under 3 sinks, replacing the shut off valves on a washing machine, correcting some pipes that were not to code on a bathroom sink, plunging a slow kitchen drain and tightening a bidet mechanical drain. They worked very efficiently as a team, tested everything to make sure it worked with no leaks after the city turned the water back on at the street level. Afterwards he ensured he showed and explained all the work that was done (although I was pretty much present the entire time).

I would highly highly recommend them and I will certainly use them again for any plumbing issues I have.

Installed Faucet cartridge backwards and leaked afterwards

I strongly suggest not engaging this company. After using this company to repair a leaking faucet I had Hot for cold water and cold for hot water. I also have now a month later another leak and the new company I called pointed out how the Moen faucet cartridge was installed backwards thus explaining how my temperature controls were reversed. The new company also explained how due to carelessness of the install, the rubber o ring was missing. For such a simple fix for an expensive price its rather amazing they cannot get the simplest of things right or any due diligence to ensure they have installed it correctly. Avoid this company, you have been warned.

Plumbing

My husband called the insurance company because of a water leak in the AC duct-work late last night. Prairie Plumbing called me at 8:00 am and said they'd have someone here within an hour. Dave arrived at 8:30 and was done by 9:15. We bought the house 2 months ago and the AC and furnace had not been serviced in a long time by the previous home owners so the condensation hoses were plugged and the overflow tray was full of gunk. He blew them out, replaced the old hoses with new clear ones so we can see if there is an issue again, replaced the drain plug that was pretty flimsy and was what had been leaking. He even gave me advice on the mould I found on the wall behind, said it was from a spray and would have happened years ago, told me the best way to remove it, which was above and beyond. And yes he removed his shoes every time he came in and went back to the truck. Thanks Dave!

Plumbing

This company has the worst service you can imagine.
I had made an appointment with with them to fix a leaky pedestal sink. They were to arrive between12-2. At 3 I phoned there office and was told that there plumber will be there shortly, she was just finishing up another job.
She arrived at 5 and fixed the sink and told me that the parts I had installed were cheap and her parts were much better and higher quality. After she left I noticed that the parts she had installed for the pop-up stopper wouldn't lift high enough to let the sink drain and when the stopper was down the water wouldn't stay in the sink. I called the plumber directly the next day and she told me she would be there shortly, but 2 hours later she had not arrived and had not even phoned to say she would be delayed. So I tried to call her to see what was going on. Now she wasn't even answering her phone.I tried calling her several times and no answer,so I left a message cancelling the so called appointment.Because I didn't want to waste another day endlessly waiting for her to show up. To fix the sink I had to disconnect the pop-up stopper and buy a old style sink plug.
The next day I called Deanna there Manager and told her about the endless waiting I had. She said that she would have to talk to the plumber and get back to me as soon as she had.
Well I am still waiting for her call, that was over 2 weeks ago now.
As it turned out Deanna, is as reliable as her plumber!
A note to Steven (the owner)
Your company has the worst service of any company I have ever used for any repair ever.
This company is a total waist your time and money. $75 an hour I don't think so.

Furnace Repair

Out of the blue, our furnace started to make a loud buzzing noise when ever it was turn on to provide heat to the home. We were recommended by our home insurance company to contact Prairie Plumbing to have a service guy come by and check it out. Our call to Prairie Plumbing was promptly answered and the service repairman was scheduled to come to the home the next day. I was impressed there was no long delay to have the issue checked out. Dave, the repair guy, was right on-time. He was fast, efficient, and even took his boots off at the front door. I was impressed at how easy he was to talk to (as some repair guys don’t like to be bothered when they work). Dave figured out what the issue was and mentioned he’d have to order a specific part to get it fixed. It took the plumbing company almost 2 weeks to get the part to fix the furnace – which I didn’t really enjoy. Although, in all fairness, the furnace was working throughout the 2 week period, just very loudly. Dave came after hours to accommodate our work schedule to install the new parts and apologized for the delay. All in all, these guys did a great job and I’d hire them again if we needed service done again.
