Moving from one house to another
Dear Mr. & Mrs. Leszczynski,
I apologize for the delay in dealing with the problems during your move. I do not seem to have the correct phone number for you. Please call me at (905) 281-0679 or (416) 892-2811. We would very much like to resolve this issue to your satisfaction.
Sincerely,
Ann M. Thornton Moveworks.
This review is simply and completely unfair. We moved Meighen twice. First into storage in Mississauga and then out of storage to Barrie. Both moves were done well, there was no damage and both moves came in within the agreed upon price. No damage, no overbilling and good customer service throughout. The issue was storage and whether this customer's goods should have been stored in Mississauga or Barrie. This customer had 2 options. #1. We could arrange storage at a public storage facility in Mississauga at as good a rate as was available anywhere in the G.T.A. at that time. #2 Meighen could arrange the storage for herself in Barrie, as we have no contacts for storage in Barrie. In either case, she would she would pay the storage fees directly to the storage company. The point here is that we arrange storage as an accomadation to our customers. We do not make any money or profit on this. In most cases, the choice of location involves the following logic- storage at point of origin - in this case, Mississauga offers 2 benefits - first, the customer has easy access to her goods. Secondly, if the plan is to have the same mover do both moves, then the customer saves paying the travel time, to and from Barrie for 2 moves. The cheapest solution would be to have one mover pick up the goods and deliver these to a storage facility in Barrie - assuming that the storage rates in Barrie are lower in Barrie, and then have a local mover, move them from the storage facility to her new residence. The weakness of this plan, is that should there be any damage to the customer's furniture and goods, it would probably prove difficult to determine which mover was responsible, which in turn would make it difficult to get compensation for damages. All of this said and for the above mentioned reasons, most of our customers choose to store locally. In every case the choice belongs to the client and Meighen chose to store in Mississauga.
