3 sets of closet doors installed

The sale, installation and product were very good.
No copies of invoice or follow up from staff occurred. The credit card was simply charged..no statements no contacts from office personnel.
When contacted I was told they were too busy to keep us updated on the billing. Very poor customer relations.

Work to do

Overall, my experience with Komandor was satisfactory. The installer was excellent but the designer was not.

My experience with the installer, Daniel, was stellar. He made sure that everything was completed correctly. Daniel and his coworker did a wonderful job removing the old doors, patching the holes, and installing the new doors and shelving. I was supposed to remove these items before they arrived, but I forgot to do so. Komandor was nice enough to waive the charge for this. I accepted full responsibility for the error, and made sure that I corrected the situation appropriately with the installer. Kudos to Daniel and his partner for going the extra mile. It was very much appreciated.

My experience with the designer, Louise, was fine until I decided to make a change, which she misunderstood. Despite the fact that I emailed her and had a telephone conversation about the change, the final plans for the closets didn’t accurately reflect the desired change. Luckily, Daniel was able to make part of the desired change happen. However, the end product is still not exactly what was expected. After expressing my concerns to Louise, she didn’t take responsibility for her error. I felt that my concerns were brushed off. Considering I payed $11K for three closets, I feel that someone from Komandor should have taken the time to correct the situation in some way. After reaching out to her post-installation, I received no reply whatsoever. Leaving a customer with no resolution is unacceptable. I’m not sure how Komandor can allow designers to ignore the concerns of customers.

In general, I’m happy with the quality of the product and the quality of the work. I’d highly recommend Daniel because of the outstanding job he did, and his ability to make changes and adapt the design to what was excepted. I’d recommend Komandor to anyone who wishes to spend a bit more money for a better quality custom product, but I’d definitely opt for a different designer. I feel that designers, especially senior designers, should be much more thorough and detail-oriented. A mistake like this should not happen when you pay a premium price.

Entrance closet doors

Komandor installers had to come back to fix installation errors because one door was higher than the other and the doors wouldn't close. At second attempt of installation (a couple weeks after), they decided to remove the side wall trim that should've been removed during their first attempt of installation. The final result was damaged walls on side walls and on top of closet due to their tear out. They charged us twice (x2) for the tear out activity and another X2 because they were two installers when it should've been x1 only. The door still doesn't open properly on the left side.

Sliding Mirror Closet Doors

I am so happy with the service I received from Komandor on the custom doors I ordered. The doors were reasonably priced, they came out when they said they would, they were professional and courteous and they worked hard. My doors were put on quickly and they cleaned up after themselves. I will be calling them again for all of my closet and door needs. They did a great job!

Great results!

We bought doors to enclose our laundry room which is in the hallway of the basement.
Everything from the consultant who came to take the measurements and give the quote, to the installation, the gents who did the install, and the final product but far exceeded my expectations. It looks better than we could have imagined and there is a 10 year warranty!

Frosted Panel Closet Doors

Great product, sales service and installation was excellent. The person that came for installation made sure that it was done right and to my expectations. I had expected to stay in and clean up the mess after installation but he came in with vacuum and everything necessary to tidy up after the installation. Definitely appreciated as a home owner. Definitely recommend.

Bedroom sliding door closet and bedroom pivot door closet

We originally wanted 4 feet of shelves and hanging space in the interior of the sliding door closet as well as a 22 inch bi-fold door in another small office room. This was going to add another $2,000.00 plus to the price and therefore did not fit our budget. So we decided to only do the two doors we could afford.
We first visited the showroom in Mississauga in order to get a 15% discount on the work and I'm glad we did. They were very helpful there and showed us several options and finishes.
The designer who came to do the measurements was nice but did not bring any samples at all and was not 100% clear on the size of the tracks etc. Also when I mentioned that there was going to be an area rug in the room with the pivot door she suggested that the door would need to be shortened in order to clear the rug. The door wound up being too short, it was built as if the pivots were being installed over wall to wall carpet. The pivots then had to be installed on wooden blocks in order to fit the opening. The installer was very thorough and spent a great deal of time preparing the wooden blocks so that they didn't look too out of place and were to my satisfaction.
We had previously hired Komandor to do a large pantry and closet and Murphy bed installation when we renovated our basement several yeard ago and we were extremely happy with that.
The doors we picked for this current project look fantastic and are a real compliment to entire renovation.

Closet Upgrade

I hired Komandor to upgrade our condo closet. The designer Louise was very helpful with suggestions and came to take measurements. We wanted a his and hers closet and she made it happen.

John the installer was wonderful. This is somebody who has pride in their work and took a lot of time to make sure everything fit correctly. The manufacturer made some errors and John took the pieces back down to his van and meticulously corrected the issues, which took a few extra hours than planned. John arrived on-time in the morning and did not leave until 7pm because he wanted to get the job done.

The back of one of the drawers was slightly damaged, but John took pictures of it and he was back in the next week to replace it. Great customer service.

I highly recommend Komandor. I had them install a sliding glass door 5 years ago and was very pleased with their work then as well.
