The guys (Lance and Nick) came early this morning and quickly found and resolved the issue of a leak suddenly springing up in the basement under the powder room. It was a temporary cap left on a vent that should have been made permanent and glued on during construction (goodness knows how many years ago!), so they attached one of the right type, secured it and were gone again - after cleaning up - in about half an hour.
Shout out to Kim in the office for a very supportive and communicative scheduling process. Really appreciate the great customer service all around.
(Landlord is paying but was only charged for visit and diagnostic)
