DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!

We saved for a long time to purchase a dining table my family could enjoy for years to come. I finally purchased the Gavin White Oak dining table for $3199.00 plus shipping (totalling almost $3700.00) from Furniture Depot in Brampton, Ontario. It arrived with purple stains and a large dark oily stain (residue from the packaging tape) on the tabletop. No products they suggested removed the stains at all. I asked for a replacement tabletop. Their reply was

the table is in good condition, suggesting that a gentle cleaning with soap and water might resolve it. Since the table is solid wood, refinishing could also be a potential solution. To address the inconvenience youve experienced, wed like to offer you a $200 discount as a gesture of goodwill.

I have tried to call and email them multiple times and no response. Every time I call the store, they tell me the manager is not available. I request a callback and they do not even take my phone number down.

I have requested to return the entire table for a refund according to their online return policy and still no response. I am now working with the MasterCard Dispute Resolutions department for assistance.

This table was available at Wayfair for the same price. But I decided to go with Furniture Depot because it is a local. Now I am regretting it deeply as I know that Wayfair stands by their products. I wish I read all the other negative reviews before buying from Furniture Depot.

Bought a 3 piece couch set. They sent it missing 2 pieces. They kept arguing with me about it and eventually sent me 2 pieces over a month later. The 2 pieces they sent were the wrong ones. One of them didn't even match the correct fabric. I let them know they were the wrong ones and they haven't responded. That was months ago. Horrible!

I put a Truro furniture to be on layaway and was told by a representative that I put down whatever I can afford on the furniture. I deposited $100 and was later informed by Annette that I would have put down another $200 - $300 on the furniture. I did state to her that I would but later became very sick which resulted in me having to take off work. I later explained my circumstances to her and noticed I did not receive a response. I then followed up days later and then finally got a response and stated that she would get back to me. Again I waited for her response. I then followed up again in regards to giving back my deposit of $100 as Im not in any position to complete the purchase. They then respond that my deposit was significantly low and would require for me to add more money or that were going to keep my $100. I stated Im in no position to give more money and Im also in no position to donate my money to this place. Seeing that they labelled my deposit to significantly low you would think they would return my money and make an exception due to my circumstances. I was completely wrong and they chose to add a negative experience at my expense. I repeatedly kept asking for my money and over and over you started to recognize their level of professionalism. I reached out to Annette who later blocked me. I sent numerous emails which they retaliated by sending many emails with the same message. It only gets worse when they would not let me know who I was dealing with and when admitted they basically admitted retaliation against me. PLEASE DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. Im not done with them and I will get back my money. Read the reviews these customers are not exaggerating.

The worst store please dont trust them I bought my items completely damaged no return and no refund. Stay away from this company!!!

They made a mistake on their delivery price and after being notified, they fixed it. Nice to see!

I purchased an item from Furniture Depot in Brampton on January 4. Several hours later I changed my mind and canceled the order. I have waited for a refund for a week. I was told on January 6 that only the manager could cancel and refund. I was assured he had taken care of it. Today is January 10 I have not received my refund. I spoke to someone who told me it is sitting on the managers desk, he is out sick today. When he returns he will take care of it. In my opinion this is poor business practice and unacceptable.

Ordered a bed frame over a year ago and it still hasnt been delivered. It is impossible to talk to any real person, nor do they call you back. Please be careful when ordering online, best thing to do is buy from store. It is sad that I cant say I support this beautiful Canadian brand of furniture.

Ordered a table and was told it would be delivered in 3 weeks. That was 4 MONTHS ago!!! Now after multiple phone calls and excuses they are now not answering their phones. Worst company ever.

Worst service ever....I order a sofa on october. Im still waiting. Call many times, email, chat to cancel the order. Not done yet. Delivery always delayed since i buy it. 6 month later, no sofa, no answer, no cancellation, no refund......! Run Forest Runnnnnn! dont go there except if you want some trouble....!

I too have had a horrible experience with furniture depot and the entire situation would/could have been avoided has they communicated. I ordered my dressers online and paid with Interac at time of order in august. I never received a confirmation of my order and had to email them multiple times. I finally got a response and waited over 8 weeks before I emailed again (don’t even try to call them they don’t pick up the phone or return messages) to find out the status of my order. I was told there was a problem with the order and it had to be manufactured. I assumed due to Covid there would be a delay but the lack of communication and Information is absolutely horrible. It’s now November and I requested my order be cancelled in the middle of October. My money still hasn’t been refunded and of course I am getting no response. I even tried to chat online and as soon as I said that I wanted to cancel my order the women on chat stopped responding. What kind of company does that ? I can guarantee they are going to try and keep 35% of my money even though I have proof in writing. Do not buy from furniture depot. I can’t stress that enough.
