The company had someone at the premises about three hours after I called, and cleared the blockage on a temporary basis, with drain replacement at 9 am the next day. Fast and efficient and helped with all city rebate forms.Careful

I initially contacted a competitor of Drainworks on an emergency basis to clear our drains. The competitor responded quickly, temporarily cleared the drains and quoted full repair at $7,200. Astounded, I indicated that I would have to obtain a second quote and they requoted at $4,800. I was not impressed at the supervisor walking through our house in winter boots. At this point their creditability was tainted. I obtained Drainworks name from next door neighbour and my experience was first class. Frank Casciaro quickly assessed the problem, provided a realistic quote, scheduled the work for quick completion during a holiday period, kept me advised on a frequent status basis, was fair about needed extra work caused by problems encountered, and provided information about obtaining the drain rebate. All in all a very satisfactory outcome to what I viewed as a troubling problem.

For anyone who is going to call Drainworks.

I had a slow flow problem in my upstairs bathroom sink. When the hot water turned on it simply trickled out. I called Drainworks who were very polite on the phone. The repair man came that afternoon. Upon seeing my fixtures he remarked that I had a problem as they were of low quality. He said that most likely there was a build up of sediment in the pipe causing the flow problem and that he could detached the pipe to determine whether the block was behind the wall or exposed. He told me that he had a part in his truck which he could use to replace it. I asked if it was possible to purchase the parts at Home Depot to which he said no, that they did not sell them.

He told me that the part would normally cost over $200, but that he could give me the one in his truck for 160 and do that labour for about $380. As its Christmas and being skeptical I told him no thank you and that I would call later if I wanted to go forward. The next day I dismantled the sink and determining that one of the small piping pieces was fairly clogged, drove to Home Depot and was immediately given a plastic tube to replace it. Total cost including tax $5.16.

After 20 minutes with a wrench my flow was back to normal. Being a professional I am sure the repair man knew well where the problem was and the actual cost. I would not recommend this company to anyone and wish I had gone to Home Depot in the first place.

We suffered through a few backups and failed attempts by other to fix the problem before we called Drainworks (downtown Toronto). I can't say enough good things about them. Everyone we interacted with was professional and had a high level of client service - it obviously runs through the business. When things didn't go according to plan, the team stayed and worked in the cold until 9 at night to ensure we could use our water. ... and Drainworks stuck to their quote despite it taking them 2.5 days instead of the one they had hoped. Very impressed and have already recommended you to others.

This is the second time in 5 years I have had to deal with a root problem in my drain and on both occasions I had Drainworks in to address the problem. They were prompt, professional, well equipped and and extremely knowledgable. They are clearly a very well run organization.

I recently used Drainworks to solve a problem with a slow draining basement toilet and the service was excellent. After booking the appointment, they called 30 minutes before arriving to confirm. The drain tech (Matt) was knowledgable, polite and offer various options. He use boot covers and tarps to ensure that no mess was left in the house. I recommend using this company for plumbing issues.

We had to replace pipes under the basement floor due to a crack that was allowing noxious sewer gases to leak into the basement. We've used Drainworks in the past for small jobs and have been happy so we decided to call them again.
They set up an appointment for the next day. They were on time and with their video inspection equipment quickly narrowed down the cause and made recommendations and prepared a quote. They showed up on time the following day to partially remove the basement floor and reconfigure and replace the piping. They were very neat and clean and used drop clothes so that they did not track dirt.
Mike Dunn, Drainwork's certified technician was friendly, helpful and very professional. The workmen were also very professional and pleasant to deal with. We were very satisfied with the job they did.
