I have been a client of A1 Air-conditioning for 20 years. Recently I downsized and moved to a new home. I had A1 replace an aging Water tank and a leaking Air-condition. The work was done quickly and very efficiently. They are extremely professional;

We recently had a new Daikin furnace installed by A1. We did obtain 4 quotes from various companies however we decided to go with A1 because of their professionalism transparency and a personal approach during the initial discussion. Installation was quick with guys showing up on time and leaving the place clean.
Big shout out to their service, we had called A1 twice and both times service was superb. We’ll definitely continue to use A1 and highly recommend their services.

Dispatch # 62796 - We had 2 different estimates from the top big box store competitor and a utility provider, but a realtor friend recommended A1 as "fair and reliable". So they became our 3rd estimate. I would never have contacted them if they were not recommended. They exceeded our expectations. From the estimate by Gord, which was transparent and thorough, and gave us the brand and units that were suitable to our needs, to the scheduling calls by Karen and Sue and installation by the two Mikes, the experience was seamless. The service installers arrived on time, once the time was confirmed with the dispatcher. They were polite, respectful and advised what they could do to stay within code. They cleaned up all material. The follow up was exceptional with calls, emails and inspection. There was a modest payment plan option, but the real outstanding kudos go for service. Thanks for the speedy and efficient service that stayed within the estimate.

Dispatch # 62824 - Been a customer since 2006 and have had nothing but exemplary service throughout the years. Fortunately, our furnace has never needed repair, but we see a technician twice annually for our SuperCare® service.

Recently had my annual service check (Oct 19/15) and requested an appointment for early AM. When I call, am told "Between this time and that" and have always had consistently excellent service with regards to prompt arrival at the start of that timeframe (lucky me!). I took the morning off work and was so pleased that John D arrived promptly at 9am and was quick and efficient in my clean/service so I was able to head to work ASAP. He offered a suggestion that showed he was looking out for my family's safety. I loved that he didn't wear his workboots throughout my house (yes, we woman notice those little things, Thanks!) - he was very conscientious and polite. Every A-1 technician has always taken the time to answer my questions and review anything I have forgotten about furnace care/use.

I had dealings with A1 for over 25 years, and put in place the annual maintenance contract about 15 years ago. During all this time the A1 staff has been nothing short of totally professional, courteous and always helpful. In my experience, when you find trades people who are competent, dependable and honest, you stick with them until they give you a reason not to. I will definitely continue to deal with A1.

This is an unsolicited review. We have had comprehensive annual service contracts with A1 for several years and have always been happy with the service. Our furnace, which was 16 years old, finally "died" in early October, 2015. I called Karen who does scheduling and was very pleasant and professional to arrange a service call. This was scheduled within a few days and the service-person confirmed the need to replace the furnace and arranged for Scott, a salesperson, to come to our place and discuss our options. He was very helpful and explained everything well. We made our decision and Karen arranged for Perry and Chris to come and install the furnace. They were excellent! Punctual arriving, they introduced themselves and were fastidious, taking care to place drop sheets everywhere they walked. The installation was completed well within the estimated time allotment and the area was spotless when they left. During installation, they were polite and helpful in addressing questions. Overall, the whole process took about a week and the folks at A1 made a potentially painful process, essentially painless. This is one of several very positive experiences with A1. Although we have only used the furnace a couple of times and cannot make a meaningful comment on follow up, I have no reason to believe that we will have any problems and, even if we do, I have no doubt that A1 will fix the problem. The folks at A1 are a truly outstanding group! I do not hesitate to recommend them highly.

On Sept 6, 2015 I made my final decision to have A1 replace our 23 year old furnace and air conditioning units. Prior to that, I had received quotes from 2 other companies. One of which was a referral from a friend and neighbor. Originally I had already signed a contract with that company and had to go through the trouble of cancelling the contract and the cheque. In hindsight, it was a wise decision.
I chose A1 for my heating and cooling needs over the other competitors for the following reasons:
1. A1 would provide a cased evaporator coil for my new furnace. The other 2 companies would only offer an uncased coil.
2. A1 would provide a new return plenum for my furnace. The other 2 companies would only modify my existing ductwork.
3. Gord, the A1 consultant, was warm, knowledgeable and provided valuable suggestions.
4. A1 was rated as the Platinum choice voted by readers of the Mississauga News for 2015.
5. Installation was to be done by A1’s own in-house technicians and not by subcontractors.
6. Daikin products are of top quality

8. A1 quote was reasonable. Receive a better product for less money.
9. Sue, the A1 scheduler, was pleasant to talk with even after all my numerous re-scheduling requests.
10. There was always a live person to talk with whenever I called. Even during lunch hours.
11. A1 to do paperwork on rebates from OPA.
12. A1 quality inspector to perform audit after installation
On Sept 24, 2015 Perry and his partner arrived on time and installed the units professionally. They were friendly and efficient. The quality of the products and installation was beyond my expectations. To my surprise the new furnace unit appeared to occupy a smaller footprint than my existing unit.
On Oct. 11, 2015 I have experienced the performance of the high efficiency furnace for several weeks and am quite happy with the results. The 2 stage heating and the quiet ECM motor take us to another level of comfort. The furnace keep us warm and cozy in the home. I would expect the high efficiency air conditioner to provide a similar performance by keeping us cool for the upcoming summer months.
Thank you A1 for providing the stellar services and quality products that we enjoy now. It was an extremely pleasing experience to deal with such a top notch company. I am confident that I have found the company that I can trust and depend on for all my heating and cooling needs. I just wish all my other home service contractors would provide the same high quality service and products.
