Completely satisfied with A1, when my elderly mother's unit broke I called 4 contractors but A1 was the first to respond and 2 days before anyone else did. Gord was very helpful with the consult, he offered some options and agreed to visit on the same day.
When they were made aware of my mother's health issues they expedited the install and sent Mike M as the installer. Mike was absolutely dedicated to the job and very respectful and patient to my mom and her short-term memory issues. Mike worked tirelessly and because it was an expedited job he worked by himself where normally there would be two installers. He never complained and always had a positive attitude throughout the day. When he discovered that a breaker fuse needed replacing he took it on himself to drive during rush hour to visit multiple big box home improvement centers to buy a suitable replacement.

Last year we decided to replace our furnace as it wasn't working great. The air conditioner was the same age as the furnace so we decided to go with a package deal. We decided on A1 not because of price but because of the professionalism of their rep and the options that were offered. Everything was fully costed with detailed explanations for all the work. The installers arrived promptly on the date and time we were quoted. The job was done quickly and efficiently. All work was neat and tidy and the installation area was cleaned up with nothing left for us to do.

Great service. I called on Monday, tech came to check on Tuesday afternoon, he went to different suppliers try to get different parts, because the machine is too old, so he recommended to replace he whole air conditioner, more efficient, cheaper and with warranty. So we got a quote on the same day, another tech/sales came for measurement on Wednesday morning. Very lucky, Thursday afternoon, my house back to nice and cool. Technician also helped me to re-et the Thermometers.

Summer is here, weather is awesome and when you need to cool off you can always count on the A/C, right? Wrong. Our A/C unit worked fine in the AM and once we got home from work our home was warmer than outside ... not cool A/C, not cool.

In the AM I called A1 expecting them to say that they'll send a technician is a couples of days (as HAMCO told me). Lo and behold they didn't. They sent a technician on the same day I called. A1 will not be my 2nd call ever again.

John (our technician) was a true professional and very knowledgeable. He asked questions, listened and solved our A/C issue in matter of seconds. Unfortunately for him he had to go get the part at a distributor (as he didn't have that specific part in his truck). Drove off, returned and fixed my A/C.

My A/C is now cool again ... pun intended :)

I am very satisfied with the workmanship of Dale and Justin. They did an outstanding job. I have been dealing with A1 airconditioning and Heating since 1984. They have always done an A1 job.

Great service and reasonably priced. Professional installation and confident the job was well done. The only glitch was a disconnect between the crew and the office on when they were to arrive for the install. Was told by office to expect them at 7am, but crew had always planned to start around 9am. Install was on a Saturday when office closed so couldn't reach anyone to confirm they were still coming. Suggest A1 provide the crew's contact info when booking a date. Other than that, everything went well. (#74140)

The values and ethics of a company are measured when things go wrong --- not just when they go right. From this perspective A1 are outstanding. I have been a client for 25 years (3 complete HVAC systems purchased + installed) and this past year upgraded the humidifiers to 2 Aprilaire 800 steam units at a total cost of $3,700. Their performance was a real let-down --- no real improvement in humidification. A1 sent techs Robert and Theo who determined that the water conditions in downtown Toronto were not conducive to this model (needed more salt in the water) and recommended changing to a Generalaire Elite unit. Ralf approved the swap to this more expensive machine at no extra cost to me + extended the warranty. The machines humidified beautifully and I highly recommend them. It starts with Gord great guy explained every thing in detail set it all up and went like clock work Install was perfect Rob and Steve very professional know there stuff left the house clean and neat they even sent a follow up gentleman named Gary to inspect the finished job all in all a great bunch of people they make you fell like family
