A & B Moving

A & B Moving did an outstanding job for us during my daughter’s recent move on August 31st. My daughter was working the day of her move so I was on my own. We had a very tight window of time to vacate the apartment, but they managed the challenge with a calm, capable, positive attitude. They took very good care not to damage any walls while moving things up and down a flight of stairs (no elevator in the building). They were punctual, organized, polite and hard-working, even offering to help me with a couple of last minute cleaning and packing issues that I couldn’t manage myself! The office staff was also very polite, well organized, accommodating, and reassuring during a stressful time. Their box rental program was also a huge help. I will definitely hire this company again in the future. Well done.

I would not hire this company again.

I have used 2 other movers within Victoria all who moved my small 1 bedroom apartment within 2.5 - 3 hours. A to B moving took 4.5 hours to move the same amount of stuff a shorter distance than I have ever moved before. They took a smoke break part way through and charged me for it. I witnessed one of the two movers texting on his cell phone instead of working on two occasions and am unsure how many times he did it when I wasn't looking. I phoned to complain and the representative expressed concern but of course did nothing about it. Myself and 1 friend could move my apartment in 4.5 hours... professionals should be much faster.

They broke a particle board book shelf as a result of stacking it upside down. They gave me $15 off my bill so that I could fix it myself. I was happy with that and accepted it. I was also told by the texter that that was a good deal because according to policy they don't cover particle board at all and normally it would simply be too bad so sad.

When I complained about being charged for the smoke break and texting I got no call back and received no compensation. I would never hire this company again, they are far too slow and apparently don't care about it.

Randy and his team are so efficient, professional, and polite. I was referred to them by a friend of mine and they exceeded my expectations. Even while we had to wait for the "green light" from our lawyers office to enter our new home, they totally understood and waited with such amazing patience. I paid a bit extra for that, but it was so worth it. They are the best priced in the GTA!! Call them today if you are moving!

After searching through many companies, I found that this was the most reasonably priced moving company. Trust me, I shopped around! In addition to arriving 15 minutes early, the three movers were exceptionally efficient. They are quick, considerate, and very friendly. The only thing that needs improvement is that I had a cheap Ikea lamp that was ripped by the move. Not bad, considering everything else came in one piece, for a good price. They even moved us halfway across the city without charging us for the extra mileage. This was a great experience, and I would use them again. Randy the owner is extremely personable if you call with questions. Take my advice, they had no add on charges like fuel, mileage, etc. One price only!
