An "Other Duct Cleaner," was so sloppy and incompetent, I was very nervous about hiring another duct cleaning service after they failed to complete the work. Enter Todd and his sparkling clean van, clear communication, and Swiss watch-like process. Working alone, there was no idle banter with coworkers. He was SO focused, in the zone, hour after hour. He just did the work, but always happy to answer questions. I had lots of questions because I like to know what is going on and how things work. He did things like, for example, put a towel AND a plastic corner protector against the wooden newel post at the bottom of the stairs, then bungie corded it in place. Every single register cover was removed carefully and put back perfectly. There was not a speck of dust anywhere. I was present for the whole job, as I own this fourplex and for my tenants' security, accompany all contractors while they work, but after an hour or so, I felt like I was on a day off. At no time did Todd need my help with anything. There were no problems. You know when you hire somebody to do one thing, and then you wish you had more things for THEM to do because you just trust them to do whatever they say they can do? That's how good Todd is at being a professional service provider. There is no higher praise. And as for all the ducts and vents, they are perfectly clean. Thank you, Todd.

A very rude tree was growing in the way of the parking spaces behind our fourplex. Ashleys asked for a photo and assessed the job. The workers showed up 30 minutes early. Being downtown and just off Bloor, the access was a challenge, but they navigated the narrow laneway and overhead wires expertly. One arborist chose to climb instead of use the boom. Their work was so impressive, I took photos. I rarely write reviews because I do not like to criticize professionals. In this case, there is nothing to criticize.

I have turned to Art Metal Workshop two or three times now, over more than six years. They are always professional, accurate, responsive, and their work has been flawless. They are probably not the least expensive option out there, but their product is the best. I would not waste my time with any other fence company.

An upper balcony was rotting and needed to come down ASAP. I called Marc and we scheduled the day. He and his crew showed up as planned, somehow got a giant bin into a tiny parking space on the street, and worked quickly and safely to take the whole balcony down. They switched out the bin halfway through and filled the second one. They swept up everything leaving no dust at all and made sure to ask whether I wanted to keep various odds and ends that were not obviously trash. Usually I do not like to write reviews because I do not like to be critical, but in this case, there was not one thing that I wish had been different. And this was important to me because a lot can go wrong ripping a balcony off the front of a house. Highest praise and recommendation!

My tenant's fridge was running warm. I tried a few things but realized I could not solve the problem. Max Appliance made my appointment right away, and Yury arrived on schedule, calling to give me notice as I had requested. This is important because the last thing you need when you have to fix something is the wild card of somebody not showing up on time or at all. Anyway, Yury was very communicative, which I appreciate, since I like to learn all I can about what has broken. He promised the new part for the next day, but then found it unexpectedly and made the effort to double back and do the repair immediately. Yury is a gem of a person AND extremely smart, and I will request him for any additional appliance problems I have.
