When my sink was not draining properly again,  I called around several plumbing companies. I decided on Drain King to come and assess the problem and provide a quote, mainly because  they assured me that there is no charge for this visit even if I don't go ahead with them. Jonathan came on time and explained everything very thoroughly and clearly.  Since this same problem had occurred last year (my handyman used a 15ft snake) he offered me two solutions:  One was to use a 40ft snake which would reach the stack inside the wall this time and the other was to use a snake along with a  power wash.  Of course the second option would be more sure proof but also a lot more expansive.  I decided to try the cheaper option first.  Jonathan was very organized and diligent in providing this service.  He explained each step of the way.   In the end, we were both elated that it worked.    He cleaned the area and even tighten the loose joints under the sink which was causing a leak.    I am very thankful for his work and I would definitely consider hiring this company for any future plumbing needs.

In the early part of the pandemic, I called TS kitchen to get a quote on a small kitchen project. But, due to the pandemic restrictions, the project had to be on hold before it even started. Finally it was back on track in March of this year. My kitchen was renovated a few years ago but one corner was left vacant until I could find a microwave that would fit in that space. I already had a cabinet box made, therefore with a microwave in the middle, a cabinet door was planned on top and a drawer on the bottom. Traian provided a reasonable quote for this project which also included some minor repairs around the kitchen. Minor repairs: The hood vent needed to be extended to the ceiling but I requested no drill into the thin porcelain backsplash because it could potentially crack. Traian followed my request and got this done without any issues. He also volunteered to stabilize the dishwasher that was shifting. It was under warranty but Traian was able to fix it efficiently and remake the kick plate underneath to fit properly. The uneven gaps between cabinet doors were an eyesore before but he took time to adjust the hinges and the result was better than I had hoped. He also did a great job closing the gaps between cabinets and walls by replacing the existing fillers with properly measured new fillers. These minor finishing touches made a huge difference in making my kitchen look complete. New Cabinet door and drawer: This part of the project did not go smoothly. Firstly, the new drawer was incorrectly made by the factory so Traian had to return and remake it. This caused more delays. When they were finally installed, there was a small gap due to the uneven walls. Not a big deal but it wasn't something I had anticipated. But the real problem for me was the color of the cabinets which I had chosen. The color looked dull due to the lack of lights in that corner. Clearly this was my mistake and I was willing to pay to get them repainted. However, asking a contractor to redo work is never a welcome task, especially in the middle of a busy schedule. Thus, I wondered if I would hear from him again even though he said he would discuss with the factory and get back to me on it. It took a few weeks but he did get back to me with a quote and soon he had the cabinet doors repainted for me. Traian took time and hard work to complete my kitchen project the right way. There were some bumpy rides along the way but he was able to resolve them. I am quite satisfied with the overall result. I would highly recommend Traian to anyone who wants to renovate their kitchen.

My stair contractor took off suddenly leaving the stairs unfinished.  I needed to find a reputable contractor, who could finished the stairs.  Unfortunately, most did not want to touch someone else's unfinished job.  Some gave me a vague quote based on the photos I sent.  I couldn't take them seriously.   Then, Kyle from Sapphire Surfaces responded to my email.   He set up an appointment to see the stairs.    Then, gave me his opinion as to what needs to be done and how he would proceed to make it work.  Clearly, he was very knowledgeable in the field. His quote was reasonable.  As I hired him, he gave me the approximate date that he could start.   .  Kyle and his brother Jay along with another helper came to work on time.  They were respectable of my recently renovated home, being very careful with how they operate their equipment and tools. They worked diligently.  My stair handles had many corners and Kyle took his time to design it right with function and appearance in mind. It turned out great!  They were all very meticulous with their work and knew what needed to be done.  However, if I had an idea or want to make some changes, they were good listeners and did their best to accommodate.  Kyle also took care of the the plumbing for the laundry sink.  After, he adjusted the cabinet doors which the other contractor left it crooked. They even helped me out with the kitchen vent hood that was making a weird sound every time it was turned on. By taking down the hood chimney, they found out the source of the noise...  Thanks Kyle and Jay. All in all,  Sapphire surfaces did a great job completing an unfinished stairs from the first appointment for discussion to the two days of long hours and hard work.  They made everything easy.  I would have no problem recommending Sapphire Surfaces to others.

We contacted this company after reading the reviews on HomeStars. There are so many duct cleaning companies but we didn't know which company would be trust worthy to do a good job. My husband and I are picky people who don't get easily impressed. However, I decided to write this review because we had such a postive experience with this company. I can honestly say that The Duct Cleaning Specialists met all our expectations and then some. Paul and Steve showed up just before 9:00am. They were professional and friendly. They explained what needed to be done and got to work. I could tell that they took great pride in their work and paid attention to details to make sure everything was done correctly. Because we had just completed a major renovation, there was a lot of dust accumulated in the ducts. Then, Steve noticed that out bathroom exahaust fans are very dirty and dusty. He suggested cleaning them. The cleaning fee was more than reasonable and now the fans are spic and span clean and works really well. After the job was done, they cleaned after themselves. I feel good knowing that the accumulated revovation dust and debris are gone. Thanks Paul and Steve. You did a fantastic job! I would definitely recommend this company to all my friends and relatives without any hesitation.

We renovated our Master bathroom. We were shocked to see that the bathroom floor tiles had two different shades. They were suppose to be Regal Eggsehell white but some had pink shades. Our installer swore they all came from the boxes given to him and gave me the empty boxes as proofs. I took the empty boxes and also the two pieces of tiles: one pink and the other white. I spoke to the manager at the showroom and Peter who was the assistant to the Management upstairs. At first they were sympathatic and Peter mentioned that this happened because they used two different companies to make the tiles. They offered me $450 to settle which barely covered the cost of the tiles. My installer told me he would have to charge $1500 since most likely the tiles will need new cement. My husband and I called the management several times and left numerous messages to discuss the matter. They did not even respond to our calls until almost a week. They refused to take any responsibilities because we bought the tiles at two different times; they even took back the offer of $450 as well. We thought this was totally unprofessional and bad faith. Since then we spent more money to buy new tiles and fix the bathroom floors. We thought about taking a legal action but we are so stressed with this whole thing that we decided not to bother. Probably that's what the management wanted us to do all along. just let the buyers beware, you will get a great service in the showroom when you are looking to buy their tiles but watch out....if you see any defective tiles after the installation, you will no longer be treated like a valued customer at Olympia, unless of course you are a valued contractor buying from them regularly.
