I booked this company for a local move within Kitchener on Feb 1st 2021. They took a deposit of 179.00 off of my credit card at the time of booking and they sent me a contract with all of the details via email. They were to show up between 2 and 5 pm. I called around 9am the morning of Feb 1st to confirm that everything was good to go and they had my correct contact information. The phone was answered promptly, read off the cell phone number they had on file (which was correct) and the woman I spoke to assured me that the guys would call when they were on their way. A great experience up until then. However, 2pm came and went without any communication. I decided when I hadn’t heard anything by 3:30 I would give a call to see if they had any information regarding the ETA. There was no answer and it kept going to the Manager's voicemail. Long story short, I did not hear from anyone at the company. Not only did the movers not show up at all leaving me completely stranded, no one has followed up to my numerous voicemails and emails at all. And no one bothered to answer the phone at all until February 3rd. I cannot believe the horrendous treatment I received. Luckily I found another moving company to assist me on February 2nd. I have received my deposit back. However, I should note I had to chase them for it. They did not contact me at all. I did not receive a phone call or a response to my emails. When, they finally answered the phone on February 3 2021 after multiple attempts to contact them, the woman I spoke to was very careful not to apologize or admit fault. She told me that she would refund my deposit and call me back with an explanation as to what happened. As I said, my deposit was refunded but I have not received a phone call to explain what happened.

Absolutely horrible experience. I booked MJS movers almost a month in advance of my move with a signed agreement. The moving date came (Oct 1 2016)...they were supposed to arrive between 9 and 10am. No one showed up or called. At 10am I began calling and emailing. My calls were not answered. I then sent a text message to Danielle Lee's cell phone. She replied to my message saying that they were experiencing a delay and to give them an additional 15-20 mins. I was relieved to hear back from her. However, another hour passed and no one showed up. I sent multiple text messages asking if they were coming and if I should make alternative arrangements. I never received another reply. So, I was stuck...my place completely packed with no one to help and it was a Saturday. I tried to call reputable moving companies but the offices were closed. I was also completely by myself. In desperation I checked on Kijiji to see if I could find movers last minute. I found a company, they quoted me a specific price and once they had everything I owned on their truck, they demanded more money and would not do anything until I etransferred more money. I was taken advantage of as I was a single woman by myself. None of this would have happened if MSJ Movers would have stood by the original agreement. I am in the process of filing a civil suit against both companies. I highly recommend you do not use this company. I don't want this to happen to anyone else.
