Loved the couch in the showroom and opted to buy most of what we needed there. couch $1799 6x dining chairs $150/ea queen bed/tallboy/nighttables $1500 The salesman on the floor was pleasant but the sales manager made me feel patronized without my husband. Items were 2 weeks late and 1 dining chair was broken beyond repair and one drawer in the high boy was defective/broken. Rather promptly they sent out a technician to take photos and confirm that replacement was necessary. A month passed with no call to confirm replacement date. Several calls to Scarborough store to ask WHERE stuff was was met with the response..."we'll call you" 6 MONTHS LATER I placed a much angrier call only to find that it was now IN. We asked to pick the items up at the original store of purchase on Dundas/Mississauga. They were to call and let us know it arrived and didn't. Finally we called and discovered it was there for a week. Upon arrival at the store we found they had not sent the right chair model and the wrong drawer was replaced!!! They even had PICTURES!!!! I outright told the store manager that we would be taking these items off their showroom floor and they complied. Never again going to shop at Arrow!

My mom and I hired Able movers to help her move from her not so nice bachelor apt. in Weston to a much nicer one in Etobicoke. 2 moving companies declined even coming to the building as it is subsidized housing. The guys...(Tim and John??) were on time, considerate and very fast. They were careful and moved quickly without damaging a single item. They arrived at 9am with good equipment, new wardrobe boxes & blankets. We were done at 12noon despite the super slow elevator!! I had previously used Moveworks in July, but was hesitant to use them again as I didn't think they were all that great for the price they charged. I don't understand the previous comments from unhappy customers....as I would recommend Able Movers highly!

Moveworks solicited me via the phone. (I guess they picked me up via MLS?) I met with Michael Thornton the president who explained rather professionally how a quote is obtained and the various boxes and mattress covers and picture boxes that would be arriving with the movers. A few weeks later I called Moveworks to get boxes from them, but my call wasn't returned so I found them elsewhere. This did prompt me to get a confirmation on my move date and time. (Consequently my Real Estate agent suggested a 10am or 11am start instead of 8am as we would probably not have the keys until after 2pm!) phew! The 3 movers arrived 30 minutes early on move day and so we began. My only disappointment at the time was the wardrobe boxes which looked like they should have been shot and put out of their misery. They were held together with packing tape and falling apart still. Runners were also not put down in the house we were moving out of. The movers were pleasant and friendly and worked efficiently to load the truck. (which wasn't big enough but we thankfully had a small trailer and a pick-up to transfer 4 loads on our own) We arrived at our new house around 3pm and still didn't have keys. The guys took a lunch break and I bought them Chicken Shwarma's. The move into the NEW house was quick and painless with runners placed appropriately. We were thankful it was over.
