I have a loyalty subscription with The Gentleman Pros since my old house has a lot of issue and sometimes I need a pro fast. One of the benefits of the subscription is a yearly plumbing inspection so I can find out what's breaking before it breaks. Walter and Chris stopped by this year and were very friendly and professional. Due to my own anxieties, I expected to be getting a new hot water tank, but the showed me that mine is still working fine and I could save my money for another year. I was about to get a new toilet for my basement, however as the toilet is installed weirdly (on a platform with the wall recessed) they recommended that i source my own weirdly shaped toilet and they would install it later, so I wouldn't have to pay their markup in addition to installation costs. I did let them convince me into getting the Bio-Smart drain cleaner.

Someone drove through my fence and I needed a quote for repair. I posted a request for service in HomeStars and Ron was very fast to get back to me. He even was able to drive to my place within 30 minutes of us talking on the phone, and provided a quote a few days later. Luckily the damage looked worse than it was and while I didn't end up hiring anyone, I will be keeping Nivin's Contracting in my back pocket for the next time I need any fence work done.

I needed a tree removed from a narrow space between my garage and fence before it knocked out my neighbour's power lines. I put a service request up on Homestars and Seedling to Stump was the first and most professional company to reply. I didn't get quotes from anyone else because they felt like robots; S2S felt like talking to real people. They got rid of the tree within a week and a hald and were very friendly and professional the entire time. My only regret is that I don't have more trees for them to cut down.

After the winter I noticed most of my shingles were peeling and, due to having the odd leak in the past, decided it was time for a new roof. I sent requests for six estimates and Matt was the first and only person to get back to me. That said, he was quick to respond, very professional, friendly, and polite. The estimate was very informative, he pointed out some trouble spots with my rotted flashing and leaking chimney. His crew arrived two weeks after the estimate, and Matt was in contact with me every step of the way and was able to work around my schedule. Matt's crew was also friendly and polite and they worked like devils replacing my shingles, doing some structural work, and making sure my chimney wouldn't leak again. I guess I won't need a new roof for the next twenty years, but when I do I'll call Matt again.

I have a Diamond Club membership which gets me a free annual inspection. This time Ryan swapped out old brittle plastic water lines for new braided steel ones. He was quick, polite, thorough, had good insight to my plumbing situation, and answered any questions I had.

Mike was the first of 4 drywall contractors to actually return an email, and all of his correspondence with me was fast and accurate. He gave me a quote that was a third of was a"big box" type contractor company gave me as well. Mike was able to work around my crazy schedule, was punctual and worked fast. The damage was a hole made in the basement ceiling while fixing and plumbing leak. After painting, my tenants and I can't tell there was any damage. I will definitely use Mike in the future and I think you should too.
