Dan came to our home to complete the dreaded "To Do" list. He was punctual, kept everything nice and clean, and got the list completed in record time. I'm already booking another visit for phase 2 of the list!

We hired Reno Republic to renovate our bathroom, remove a wall on our main floor and update some electrical. They were friendly and easy to deal with, however, the renovations were delayed due to the fact that many days no one would be working on the house at all. We had to push back our move in date to accommodate the work being done because the job was not properly scheduled. The finishes on the job were awful - lumpy platering over the drywall, cracking grout, corner bead partially exposed, cracked baseboards, and unfinished cabinetery. Attempts to correct the finishes were unsuccessful and finally they stopped calling us back.

We had Highgrade come out to replace our chimney liner (which was corroding and falling apart) and our chimney cap (which blew off in a storm). They also replaced all the piping from our boiler and hot water heater as it was not sized properly for our chimney liner. They came out on a Saturday to quote on the job and worked around my schedule when booking the work. They returned phone calls promptly, kept the jobsite nice and clean, and hauled away all the old piping and liner after the work was complete. A stress-free experience and great guys to work with.

I purchased the Dyson DC07 to keep the fur from my 2 cats and 1 dog under control. The suction is fantastic and the clear bin is easy to empty and saves a ton of money on bags. The stair attachment is especially helpful. The only complaint I have is that it doesn't seem to pick up everything on ceramic floors with deep grout lines. But that is a small complaint! I love my Dyson! I also recently purchased the Dyson handheld dust-buster. It has *amazing* suction and is unbelievably powerful for a cordless. It is by far the best handheld that I have ever used!

We purchased a new sink faucet and a bathroom medicine cabinet. Roman Bath has beautiful products and reasonable prices. We were able to find the perfect faucet and a medicine cabinet to fit a tricky space. However, once we got the faucet to the plumber, he realized that it was not North American standard and required some special parts to install it. We were not made aware of this at the time of purchase. The bathroom cabinet, although lovely, rusted after about a year of use. I would have expected better quality. Overall, they have beautiful things, but make sure to ask questions, get a guarantee, and do a little research before you buy.

We went to Taps on a Saturday (bad idea) afternoon to purchase a new kitchen sink and faucet. It took us quite awhile to get help as there is no system - you just try your best to grab a salesperson! We found what we were looking for and ordered it. We were told it would be two weeks from order to delivery. After waiting for a month, I finally called to enquire. They said the fixtures were in, but they had no idea how long they had been in for and it seemed that they "forgotten" to call me. They were not only unapologetic, they were rude. They may have great merchandise, but they have some work to do on their customer service.

Barbara reupholstered a huge chair and a half in leather for me. She worked with me to pick the leather and priced out all the different options for me. The result is spectacular - a really beautiful piece! She worked within our budget by using faux leather on the sides and back of the chair and the match is incredible. The chair has beautiful stitching details and is a perfect match to compliment our ottoman - right down to the feet on the chair. I would use Armchair Revolution again in a heartbeat.
