We had just finished replacing all are hardwood flooring over a period of two weeks with the hottest and most humid weather this year. Because of the weather we had to keep the air conditioner operating so the hardwood could be laid. This meant that a large quantity of wood dust was drawn into the duct work and dispersed throughout the house. The flooring company cleaned the floors and vacuumed the ducts but they were only able to get the dust one could see. My wife was talking with a co-worker about how hard it is to find a duct cleaning company. the co-worker recommended The Duct Cleaning Specialist and read several reviews on Home Stars. I received a quote from Paul and we arranged an appointment to get the cleaning done. Mark arrived a few minutes early and start by laying protective mats on our new floors and steps. Mark took some photo of the duct work and showed them to me as he worked his way through the house there was a lot of wood dust in the ducts. While working on the furnace Mark called me to look at the furnace filter and I was amazed how dirty it was because it had been replaced only a month and a half earlier. We have had the air conditioner running continually for ten days since Mark cleaned the ducts and it is hard to find any dust in the house. Thanks again Mark for a great job. If this had of been heating season with an open flame in the furnace I can only imagine how dangerous all that fine wood dust could be.

We were dreading this renovation project because of all the upheaval it would cause. I sought a few referrals from family and friend for someone who could coordinate the process from start to finish. None of the referrals were able to handle the work from start to finish. After reading many reviews on Home Stars I decided to approach The Floor Shop in Mississauga because it is close to my home. All the different types of flooring and their uses were explained to me. I chose the hardwood flooring and colour that I liked and setup an appointment for a quote to replace all the hardwood flooring and stairways in our home. I know from previous renovation projects in our home there are sometimes unforeseen surprises that can arise when the work begins that can cause the quoted price to rise. Debbie came to my home and I explained to her all the flooring and stairways that we wished replaced. Debbie was up front with me and said that based on the age of our house they could find a few different scenarios when they started to rip out the flooring. Debbie prepared a quote with a price range from best to worst scenario. In the end it turned out to be the best scenario. A month before the work was scheduled to start Debbie called to inform me that the manufacturer of the flooring was offering a rebate on all flooring purchased in a three week period. Debbie gave me the option of prepaying for the flooring and getting the rebate or not. I prepaid the flooring and received the flooring rebate before the work began. The projected took two and a half weeks to complete. Every bit of the work was well coordinated. I always knew each day who would be coming to the house and the time they would arrive. Tamas and his crew did an amazing job removing the old hardwood and parquet flooring and installing the new flooring. The crew from Euro Perfect Stairways consulted with me to make changes on the go to make the stairways stronger and safer and this was greatly appreciated. I can not say enough about the quality of the work done.
