Hired Dave McClean to move a large piece of modular furniture that was purchased on Craigslist to be disassmebled, moved and reassembled. This man is a true professional. He was true to his word, followed through with what was promised and created relatively little stress. Dave seems like a nice honest man to do business with who enjoys what he does and is very good at it. Thank you for a positive experience. Would use Emerald Moving again without question and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a company that will provide you with anything you may need come moving day.

I worked with Emily, the designer, who was amazing. The installer showed up exactly on time the day of the install to put in our new mudroom unit. Up until then we had given C.C. a 10 star rating. The intall was almost finished when the installer told me he had made a mistake. I told him to leave it as is and we would see if it was liveable. Once he was gone I noticed a few more mistakes including a mistake in the width of one of the unit pieces (which is probably why the installer made that particular mistake in the first place!) I communicated this with Emily immediately. She contacted me back and told me C.C. offered to give us a 10% discount on the unit (before taxes) or a 10% discount on a future unit or to re-install the unit (which is the preferred approach). We made a decision that the unit was liveable and not worth our time or energy for them to come in and re-do it (due to it being in an area with a cable box where many things could go wrong, the elevator fee the condo charges to book the elevator, and having two children under the age of 3 at home). I communicated that I felt a 20% compensation would be more appropriate since we DID NOT WANT a reinstallation and there was more than one mistake made with the unit. The next day I received a phone call from the Sales Manager whom I had never spoken to or met. I reiterated that I thought a 20% discount would be the best solution for us considering the stress, time, inconvenience and various issues with reinstalling the unit. She told me that what I was asking for was "unreasonable". She interrupted me on many occasions and continually questioned why we wouldn't want a re-installation. The 20-minute conversation was extremely unpleasant. I found her approach to be aggressive and more company-oriented than customer-oriented. When I asked if there was someone I could speak to other than her, I was told that the owner of the company, Adam Shearer, would be that person but was unavailable to discuss matters further. We got off the phone with the mutual understanding that we would be getting a 10% discount on the unit and I was walking away an unhappy customer. I ended up emailing Adam Shearer. He contacted me back almost immediately and after we spoke over the phone he did end up offering us the 20% discount. He apologized for the Sales Manager's miscommunication regarding his willingness to correspond with a customer. He explained that he is always willing to communicate with a customer. He also assured me that the installation problem is a rare occurrance and that the preferred way to correct the issue is a reinstallation but he would respect our decision to forego that option. At the end of the day, I am giving C.C. an 8 star rating because: 1. I loved working with Emily who designed the unit and I would most certainly work with her again. 2. The installation happened on the Thursday and the issue was finally resolved on the following Friday - which I consider to be a relatively short time line in this case. 3. The quality of the unit and it's system is wonderful. 4. California Closets is a well-run company that is willing to do what they can, within reason, to make sure their customer walks away happy. At the end of all of this, I would consider working with C.C. again.

Dear Born is a bit of a maze and the customer service is hit or miss. Having said that, they do have good deals and often have sales (go online and sign up for their newsletters if you are in the market for baby furniture or supplies). Definitely know what you are looking for when you go because it can be very busy in there!

We moved into a condo and wanted the whole place painted. Raju Lalli did all the leg work in helping us choose paint colours, getting the product and painting our home. He was honest, up front and the painting was finished when he said it would be. That was almost three years ago and the care he took in the work still shows today. His professionalism, kind attitude and fair pricing have had me recommend him to friends and family who have all had the same positive experience!

I had King West Flowers provide a flower for me to wear in my hair for my wedding. It was beautiful and a little pricey but well worth it for the quality and worry-free feeling of knowing that it would be beautiful! YA!

Two years ago I installed IKEA's wood floors onto my balcony. They have sustained two winters already (almost)... we get SO many compliments on this floor! It was easy peasy to install - all you have to do is put the square floors down and you're DONE!

This place is sensations. They can really transform any room in your home. They are so friendly and helpful and they do not pressure you in any way. They encourage you to take your time and find what is right for you. The installation is great and really - it's such a great option to make more room in your home!

CasaLife is a great place for updated home decor. They can transform rooms into whatever your heart desires. The staff is friendly and are willing to help! We purchased pillows, frames, some knick knacks and other stuff to help update our place! What a difference!

The couch takes about 3 months but it was delivered on time and we received exactly what we'd expected. We bought the Brooklyn couch. It is easy to clean because of microfibers. The only thing was that the couch is not as comfy as others but boy does it look great!

Phantom Screen Doors came to our home and installed a screen door. The door is amazing and the quality is awesome. My only concern was that the men who installed the screen walked through my home (which is in a condo building) with their shoes on. When I called, the lady on the phone told me that her workers always take their shoes off. That made me upset considering I wasn't imagining footprints on my newly cleaned floor. The men who installed the door came back and offered to clean the floor. They were apologetic and explained that since they'd been in the building all day, they figured their shoes were clean. NOT SO BOYS! TAKE OFF YOUR SHOES! Awesome product.

Paris Kitchens teamed with Plazacorp to provide the kitchen for our new condo. They did a great job. Three years later the kitchen still looks as good as it did years before EXCEPT for the inside of some of the cabinets which are wearing down a bit.

We bought a condo in March of 2004. The condo was only 6 months late from the estimated move-in date due to a plumber's strike. Their communication was exceptional. Mauri Haas was fantastic at keeping us updated in a friendly and professional way. Thanks Plazacorp! We've been living in our place for almost 3 years now and we L-O-V-E it!!P!
