Actually, the amount I have put above is just a really wild guess. Mark did my whole house except for the bathrooms last summer before I moved in. Hardwood and tiles replaced the existing broadloom. We had a couple meetings at the house, and I came down weekends to check on the work in progress, but mostly he was left alone to get the job done. It was done well, on time and within budget. I like my floors and thanks Mark for being polite, professional and getting the job done while I was dealing with other things.

Had two 3 small jobs -a leaking furnace hose, a faucet leaking at the cylinder and one leaking at the drain. The hose and drain were fixed fine, the cylinder needed replacing and they had to get a part. That was Thursday. Promised to phone on Friday night let me know whether the part was obtained. Promised to come on Monday and fix as all in pieces, unusable. Didn't phone Friday, Didn't phone or show up Monday. I phoned late Monday and again Tuesday, they said they couldn't get in touch with the guy who had done the job. Second call on Tuesday told them to get the part - if the first guy already had gotten it they could return that, but I needed the job done. They showed up Wednesday without calling, just as I was about to leave, without the part. They had told me in a previous phone call that the place they went to get the part was closed up, so I had given them the number of the mfr, which I got from Google. They said it would be a two hour charge at twice the hourly rate of any plumber I have used recently to get the part. The hourly rate was a big shock too, though I suppose I should have checked, but just assumed plumbers all charged about the same. So, I've asked for the part to be mailed, and will get a new plumber. Bill Mackie, the owner, was pleasant on the phone, but unorganised and ineffectual - and sounded like he's had way too much practice at apologizing. Avoid like the plague!

After reparging a basement wall, and then having to knock some of that off again, the house was filled with fine corrosive dust that even got into drawers 2 floors away despite all the best precautions of the contractors. Since I have asthma I was suffering, and tried to clean it up myself, but it just seemed to be chased around. Maret brought in the team of Jacquie, Carmen, Sandra and Maris who cleaned every nook and cranny, with equipment ranging from HEPA filter vacuum cleaners to Q-tips and left the house sparkling and me able to breathe again. I also use Maret when I go on trips of 2 or 3 months and have her team come in to get the house spic and span for my return as no one else does much while I'm gone. Reliable, punctual, efficient and know the job. Maret is my "main man".

Robert did a great job. Showed up on time, worked clean and smart, and found inexpensive ways to do little things that would make the area look more finished and 'nice'. Very pleased with the work, would use again.

Phil has done many jobs for me - fixing my computer, installing new hardware, helping me with coding for a web-site, advising on security cameras. He just seems to know everything, is pleasant and helpful.

The stairs to the basement of my old house were in a dangerous condition, and I wanted them to be stabilised and sanded and the old wood re-used. The job was done smartly during a break in a larger project he had. The work was well-done and came in under estimate. I've already asked him to do another job for me.

Since my job was small they were able to fit me in quite soon after I contacted them. Showed up on time, were pleasant, efficient and did a great job. I'll use them again, for sure.

My old stairs were creaky and worn, so they were screwed down and refaced with the bamboo that I was having put down throughout the second floor. It is an old house, so the floors were very uneven, needing a lot of shimming. Quarter round and baseboards were removed, air leaks sealed around perimeter - all sorts of things that will make this place better to live in corrected as they were discovered - and the floors laid. Painting was done to freshen things up. Altogether a spectacular job.

I had gone away for 2 months during which time I had the stairs refaced and new floors put in. I'm allergic to dust and was dreading coming home to 'the mess' so called Maret as I had used her before and had been very pleased. Her crew was thorough, and the house was sparkling and smelled good, no dust anywhere. Thank you, Maret and crew!
