Ryan and his crew did a fantastic job on our fence and patio. The fencing job was especially difficult since they had to dig post holes through solid bedrock. Despite this, he and his crew persevered and the fencing project was completed as was the patio. Ryan was very professional, courteous, responsive to our questions, and meticulous with attention to detail. We, along with our neighbors were very impressed when it was completed. We would not hesitate to recommend Ryan and his team for any home renovation job.

We signed a contract with Woodpecker Services on April 16, 2015 to have a PVC fence installed in our backyard. It is June 22nd and we still have no fence. The business does not return numerous phone messages we have left asking them to contact us. The owner, Andre finally called back this morning giving us a story about not getting the order right and supply issues. We told him to start the project asap or give us our money back. He promised to come to our home to settle this today, but now says he cannot make it. He refuses to start the project and will not give us our money back. He does not return our phone calls and messages. I have filed a complaint against the company with the BBB and will take it further (legal) if necessary. *********************************************************************************** Follow-up After contacting the Better Business Bureau and filing a complaint against Woodpecker Services we received a phone call from the company stating that they would be at our home the next day to start the fence. They came on Tuesday and started the fence. The project was completed two days later. The fence looks nice and an upgraded product but it was sad that we had to go to such extremes to get the company to honour the terms of the contract we signed with them in good faith. I have no doubt that were it not for the intervention by the BBB and the negative comments we put on HomeStars regarding the company that we would still be sitting here with no fence. The refusal of the company to respond to numerous phone messages was very frustrating. In the end, although we finally got the fence we wanted, I would not use Woodpecker Services for any contracting work at our home.

Furnace broke down a couple of days ago. Called Harding Emergency After Hours Service and they had a technician out to my home about 3 hours later. Turns out that the motor was defective and needed to be replaced. They did not have that particular motor in stock so it would a few days before the furnace could be fixed. I called a day later and the receptionist stated that they could not have the part ordered and installed until Easter Monday (five days later). I said that this was not satisfactory as I could not go without a furnace for a week - it is cold still! I was put through to Josh at Harding who informed me that the part would be delivered and installed on my furnace the next day (and it was)! Very good service by Harding - prompt and efficient and they delivered as promised!

This company seemed very disorganized. The work site crew kept asking me for directions even though they had the plans. I felt like I was the foreman. I even had to take time off work to provide instructions. That was ridiculous!

Sent an email to Montana Electrical Services on a Sunday afternoon (through the HomeStars link on their site. I had intended to replace a kitchen pot light with a hanging pendant light, but could not get it to work. Montana Electrical called me the same day I sent the email and on a weekend! Very impressive service indeed! They showed up the next day and fixed our pot light issue. Would definitely recommend Montana Electrical to my friends and colleagues and will call them again for any electrical work at our new home.
