We were a little nervous about this job due to the cost - Sky Kitchen is not the cheapest option available. However, due to the complexity of this job and since we have an older home with not alot of space to work with we felt we needed to maximize the form and function within the existing space. Sukh was very helpful from the beginning in giving us advice, and the flexibile, custom approach what gave us such an amazing outcome. He built out the design using his desktop software, and gave us a very realistic, 3D drawing of what the cabinets were going to look like. Everything went in exactly per the drawings, and we could not be happier with the outcome.

Both jobs cost me the same - The same guy (Paul) first did the exterior job, and returned for the interior. He had different help each time, but all of them were friendly, hard-working, and attention to detail all made me a return customer. Roger is also easy to deal with and came by to inspect the work after to make sure I was happy. I also appreciate how quickly he was able to get someone to my house, since I needed a painter on very short notice. Only criticsim is I found some paint splatters on the rug in one of the bedrooms that they did, but it's very minor and otherwise the work was well done considering the difficulty. Mine is an older house with many cracks, bulging walls and crooked lines, but they made it look almost like new.

This was our first experience with the Brick (near Dufferin & Dupont), and it was overall very positive. The sales guy didn't rush us or pressure us in any way...we took our time trying many chairs on the sales floor (while my kids played on the massaging recliners!). After we picked the one we wanted, he confirmed it was in stock and told us we'd have it THAT day. I'd say no longer than an hour or two after coming home, we get a call that they are en route to our place. The 2 delivery men were very friendly, and put plastic covers on their shoes so they didn't mess up our new wood floors. Overall, very happy with price and experience.

The sales guy they sent us was friendly and knowledgable, and was able to work with us on getting the price down to our budget. The type of hardwood we picked was perfect for our house. The crew arrived a little late and didn't seem sure exactly what the job was. After I explained in detail what they were doing, the work began and in total took 2 days to complete. The tried to upsell us on a sub-floor, but I said no. The only extra cost that we paid was to put a wood subfloor around the fireplace to replace the concrete hearth that they removed. Well, guess what? They weren't supposed to do this. My chimney cleaner came over the other day to do our annual cleaning and explained in detail that this was a code violation and also a fire hazard. This was never explained to us and if we knew this I would have demanded that the concrete hearth be maintained. While I would refer Empire to friends & family in terms of the overall quality of the work, I'm pissed they didn't know the codes and advise me before doing the work. The cost to fix this is not going to be small, and I'm taking it up with them.
