I have an century home (built in 1895) that needed a lot of rewiring. While some work, including the electrical panel, had been completed, the most difficult work remained. Because most of my walls are plaster, I didn't wan't to have too many holes made, as it would be very dusty and the patching a nightmare. However, I had a lot of knob and tube to be replaced, and new ceiling fixtures to be added.
Because I knew this was going to be an expensive job, I had several quotes done. Most of the quotes were local (I live in Hamilton), but because Java's reviews were so glowing, I thought I should call to see if they would provide services in my area. Antonio came by for a quote, which was impressive for the pricing (which was pretty much in the middle, despite the travel). More importantly, I felt very comfortable with Antonio. His honesty and professionalism was very apparent. And, unlike many of the other electricians, Antonio was able to reassure me that his staff would be able to fish the wiring through the walls with minimal damage, and any holes made would be patched.
True to his word, his staff did a wonderful job. They were punctual and professional, and cleaned up everyday. They did the wiring, and also installed smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. They were very accommodating about adding extra outlets when asked, and Antonio arranged for an electrical inspection once the work was completed. They clearly take pride in their work, which was impeccable.
Probably one of the best tests of a company is how they react when things don't go according to plan. There was a small accident with a glass being broken (it was fragile and very easy to break), and Java took full responsibility - not only did they offer to pay for the repair right away, but Antonio also researched where I could go to minimize the work I had to do. We were very impressed with how they dealt with this.
It's now been a few months when Java completed the work, and I still couldn't be happier. Java Electrical is very busy, but definitely worth the wait! Book them if you can!
