We unfortunately had some stones crack this past winter but Mimmo and his crew were out as soon as the weather was good enough and had them replaced in short order. I appreciate Mimmo's commitment to his customers and his craft. Thanks again Mimmo.

I found Mimmo on Home Stars and after readings a lot of reviews I asked him to quote the stone walkways, steps down to the backyard and new asphalt driveway. The most important thing for me is trust and I found that in Mimmo. I had two other companies quote me but they didn’t point out the things Mimmo did. I love it when a contractor says to me “no no, you can’t do that it won’t look good” . He has a great eye for detail. He explained everything that needed to be done so the finished project would look great, and it does. The other two companies didn’t mention the other details which I can only guess would be extra after they started the job. I like to know everything needed before the job starts. Mimmo’s price was higher but once I added the finishing details to the other quotes, the prices were similar. We had an issue with the colour of the stone after some of it was already laid down. I felt terrible because I asked them to take it out, I just couldn’t live with it. Mimmo was so gracious about it. He came to the stone place and help me pick out another colour. He is such a nice guy. FYI always go look at the actual stone because the pictures in the book are deceiving. I could go on and on about how great Mimmo and his crew (Matthew, Andrew and Ali) are but I would just be reiterating everything everyone else has already said. It’s all true…. Thanks so much Mimmo.

Our apologies to Todd for the lateness of this review, but better late than never. We were first introduced to Button’s almost six years ago while looking at furnaces in the Trane booth at the Home Show. We had a few other highly rated companies from Home Stars quote a new furnace as well, but Todd was a wealth of information, helped get us the best refund from a government incentive and had the best warranty (included parts not just labour). He was also very personable and avoided any pressure tactics. Two years ago we were in the market to replace our hot water tank with a tankless system and for a new air conditioner. Again we received quotes from a few other highly rated Home Stars companies, but once again Todd’s knowledge, price and warranty were solid. For the tankless hot water system, Todd recommended running a recirculation line on the ceiling of our unfinished basement which the tankless system would periodically replenish with hot water to reduce the time for hot water to reach the faucets, something none of his competitors recommended. When replacing the air conditioner a new location was needed because due to the slope at the side of the house the previous homeowners had allowed the old one to be mounted on a metal brackets attached to the house, instead of it being on solid ground. When looking for a new location we didn’t want it in front of a window or showing at the front of the house, which were the best flat locations, but Todd told me to trust him, and in the end the installers placed it in a great spot.

We had Fieldstone Windows replace all of our windows and one sliding glass door. Ken was great with letting us know the different options we had for manufacturers. We had some technical questions about the windows and he called the manufacturer right then and they answered all of our questions. Their pricing was very good for the high quality of product we received. The installation was excellent and on time even with the tight time line we gave him. The installers left the house tidy at the end of every day. We had a couple of minor problems which they solved including having the manufacturer come out to fix. Over all the experience was excellent and the windows look great. We have recommended them too many friends.

After we purchased a resale home one of our first pre-move-in projects was to re-carpet the entire 2nd floor and install a runner on the staircase. After reading many of the reviews on HomeStars we choose Alliance and are very happy we did. Lehel and Susan were very friendly, gave us great advice on the different products and a fair price. On short-notice Lehel was able rearrange his schedule to do all the measurements during one of our already arranged pre-move-in visits to the house, which saved us a subsequent visit, and Susan arranged the installation on the day we wanted. A few days after the 2nd floor installation Lehel came by to ensure we were happy with it. Unfortunately, the stairs needed a lot of work before the runner could be installed, but Alliance patiently waited for us and, since we were doing all the staining and painting ourselves, gave us advice. Within a couple of days of completing the staircase renovation one of their installers returned and installed the runner on our circular staircase. The new carpet looks great and we would strongly recommend them.

We recently moved and used Tender Touch after reading the reviews on HomeStars website. The move was very stress free which was a relief to me since I had heard many bad stories about moving companies lately. Nick, Mike and Fred were very quick, organized and professional at the same time being friendly and fun. Nick was very entertaining with his stories but he also had a great memory for the furniture that was in each room. Once we had told him which room was which he knew all the pieces that went with that room, which saved us time pointing out where everything was to go. Their online estimate sheet was very detailed and in the end we paid almost exactly what we were originally quoted. I would definitely use them again as well as recommend them.
