My backyard was only half-fenced in, and I needed it to be fully fenced so I could adopt a rescue dog. Franco was quite personable and provided several reasonable estimates for different fencing options. Ultimately, I chose a two-part chain-link fence with two gates -- a smallish job, but complex. The fence and one gate needed to go from the deck to the front of the garage, and another fence plus gate from the back of the garage to the end of the yard and across. The only frustrating part was totally out of everyone's control -- we had to wait for the ground to thaw! Finally it did, and Frank and one of his workers came and did an excellent job, (including a proper clean-up) so that my dog could begin her new life with a beautifully fenced-in yard. Years ago, professional floor restorers told me the wooden floors in my old house couldn’t be sanded. After more than 18 years of cat hairballs (including 2 with an old incontinent cat), my floors were a mess. I opted to paint them, but needed to sand the varnish off. After taking weeks to sand one end of the room (with my furniture packed into the other end), I called Francisco of Ecowoods to see if he would help by applying the water-based polyurethane (which I was afraid to do). He didn’t charge for the estimate, and his price was so reasonable, I opted for 2 coats. On the specified morning, he arrived on time, did the job in a jiffy (and brought his own product). He even cleaned up as he went along. He also gave me such a reasonable quote to sand and coat the other part of the room, that I agreed immediately. Two weeks later (after the furniture was shifted into the “done” part of the room), he again arrived on time and began to remove the top varnish layer. Even though this part of the job took longer than he imagined, he honored his original quote (even though I offered to pay more for a job well done). I’m so pleased with my floors now. I would recommend Francisco absolutely. A 10 – hands down!

On New Year's Day, I discovered a lot of smelly water all over my basement floor, which I eventually traced to the overflow pipe near my furnace. Unsure if this was a furnace or plumbing problem, I called City first thing on Jan 2, and someone told me it was, in fact, a furnace-related problem. My furnace was still working, and I still had heat, but Silvio came over that morning, and saw right away that the overflow valve was worn out and needed replacing. He needed to get the part, and planned to return in a few hours to make the repairs. I needed the work done before 5pm to fit in with my schedule. However, due to the extreme freezing weather, Silvio had a few emergency calls in-between (people had no heat), so wouldn't be able to get back in time. He arranged to call me at 8am the next day - but my own schedule again interfered with his attempt to do the work in the morning. He kept in touch by phone, and ultimately arrived in the early evening. It didn't take him long. The valve is fixed, my furnace continues to work well (City has done the annual maintenance for years), and no more water is overflowing onto my floor. Yay!

After reading the excellent reviews, I now know why this company gets all 10s. I called mainly regarding my leaky/squirty kitchen faucet and my front porch. Charlie was busy but managed to stop by when he had a few moments. He first advised me what to do re another company's bad workmanship on my front porch and then suggested I get a new faucet and let him know when I had it. I did that, and Charlie managed to fit me in within the week! I've already recommended Mr Rescue to several friends, and will continue to do so. Honesty, fairness, and willingness to do what he can to help out. Its all good.

No wonder this company has all 10's. And they've done it again. I found them on this site, called, and they came over within a few hours. The quote for the work was quite reasonable, given they were going to replace a few boards that had rotted out. While the work hadn't been scheduled for several weeks, they were able to re-shingle my roof within the week. From start to finish, they did a great job, and were careful not to let the shingles fall into my neighbour's yard, or my own flower beds. They cleaned up as they went. Truly impressive. But what's more, the job took longer than they estimated because the roof had more than one layer of shingles to remove. But they honored their original estimate. I would recommend them to anyone. Highly trustworthy.

I paid a $120 deposit to remove old paint from front porch fascia & post to make ready for painting. But only the easy-to-remove stuff had been scraped off (I could have done that myself!!) leaving most old paint on, un-paintable. I complained. It would be fixed with filler for no extra charge. I was pleased. But this work was only partially done. Still needs filling and sanding. Guy supposed to come today, but didn't. No notice. Lots of paint chips left for over a week to blow over my property. Have decided to let sales guy keep deposit; will pay worker something if he comes around for hours he put in. Job still needs completing; still isn't ready to paint, lots of holes, etc.
