I met Joyce from Star Moon I decided on this company. Both companies gave me a quote without pushing hard to force any decision, Joyce was the seller. And the same day I call to confirm they would do the work, she and her husband (who appears to speak less English) came a few hours later to complete the job. It was small but I know Im up for a new roof in the next year or so. I will be very comfortable with calling Star Moon to do that much bigger job.

Checking my back roofing, I noticed a lot of damage to the right eave. Having too much previous experience with this, I found this service via Homestar ratings in the T.O. area. Not only did they take care of the problem but their service people were very nice and friendly.

Jordan picked up on my requirements quickly and was able to tackle this project successful even when my wife and I were out of town. When we returned the next day, everything was done beautifully. We have a French drain design for the walkway between houses, my neighbour’s front yard was restored and improved. We are very satisfied with the work and look forward to not having a pond/ice rink on our side walkway.

AS it turns out I had a good size raccoon (possibly pregnant) nesting in my attic. She had chewed a large hole through the roofing and literally thrown away the metal she encountered. That was on my patio. They checked the attic with infra-red and then by both going into the attic. Raccoon found but refused to leave. As they were preparing the roof with a trap, the raccoon left. No trap required. Fixed the hole and roof. extra wide wire screening to prevent her trying to get back in by chewing nearby. 1 year work warranty. Very polite; efficient. Cost included tax. Good job and avoided a family of baby raccoons.

I needed my gutters cleared in preparation for winter and paid a little extra to have them clear the downspouts as well. They were quick and very good about cleaning up after (no visible evidence of their being here). However, I especially appreciated that they noted a couple of possible issues with my roof and took pictures of these. I at first was suspicious of them trying to get extra work from me but in fact their company does not do gutter repairs nor roofing. Honest and helpful. I'd give it a 10 score except I only have this one experience with them.

Company was replacing a roof on house nearby and I walked over and ask for someone to give me estimate to replace all gutters on the front of the house (back was replaced 2 years ago). Got immediate estimate; got other estimates from other companies but this was best; got confirmation a few days before start when they did exact measurements; work was done quickly and efficiently including clean up and removal of old. Would definitely recommend.

Decided to replace the 18+ year old Carrier gas furnace before it "died" and went to Reliance (and 1 other dealer) for estimates. Two big pluses for Reliance: (1) good competitive price for same new Carrier; (2) excellent and careful work by installers (Scott #2197 and Idris #2915). Work took one full day but both installers worked diligently (didn't take a break either), worked carefully and fully cleaned up. Great job!

See my first review (2013) on this company. I called Pratema back in order to have the old 28 ft fence on the South side of my backyard replaced (they did North side last time when it fell in during storm). And as expected they not only did a great job in one day but because Pratema's husband heard me say that we were expecting lots of guests due to a July 2014 wedding of our daughter, they found a free day BEFORE the wedding week instead of the original commitment to do the work in August. Very much appreciated that personal touch.

Genesis replaced all my shingles including those on a small roof over an alcove in my living room in May 2013. All seemed to go very well and we were satisfied with work until we experienced a water leak into the living room walls/ceiling on July 27, 2014. Called Genesis on July 28th; owner, Paul Osborne showed up at my home July 29th and personally climbed onto the small roof to investigate. While he could find no issues with the small roof he did add extra caulking all along the metal flashing at the brick. He also found and caulked 3 other "holes" in the brick work away from the roof. But when he dropped a dime through the gutter downspout over that roof he discovered the downspout was totally full of debris and appeared to be backing up water into the overhand and possibly into the wall below. He took the downspout apart and cleared it. I paid only for the lost dime. Hopefully problem is solved. Very impressed that the owner would show and personally do all this work for nothing in order to keep as he said his customer satisfied.

If you have ever tried to find someone to replace a "normal" size wood fence, you have run into the problem that it is typically too small a project for the major players. But one of the big companies put us in touch with First Choice Fence, one of their subcontractors. Pratema, co-owner with her husband, came to our home within 24 hours and gave us a full estimate on a replacement cedar fence 27 ft in length. We were given the option of having them remove the old cement-based posts or for them to leave these and create new post holes slightly offset. My neighbour and I however decided to remove the old cement ourselves (using a car jack) but couldn't get one of the 4 out of the ground. Although not called for in the agreement, First Choice workers did in fact remove the last piece at no additional cost to us, removed all the old wood and cement from the property, and had a new beautiful cedar fence up in a matter of hours. Our south fence is still standing but I expect it too will soon fall. However, if and when my south-side neighbour and I can agree that the replacement must be done, I will be strongly recommending we use First Choice for the major work.

Tiring of maintenance on our original wood garage door (including replacing lower panel several years ago by Dodds), we decided to replace wood with insulated steel this summer. The sales person, Michael, was at our house for an estimate the same evening I called and helped us select the product that best suited our needs. He also provided separate costs for such things as additional insulation and windows in the top panel. We elected to go with the "vanilla" steel double door and are very happy with our decision - right price and still improves the look of our property. The installation had to take place after our return from vacation but that did not seem to be a problem. Les, the installation technician, was at our house with the new door at the time and date planned. He finished that same morning. Clean, fast and fully acceptable work.
