Our gutters and siding were in very poor condition and needed to be changed. As we were putting in new black-framed windows, we decided it was time for new gutters etc in black to match. My husband got several quotes and right away VCS aluminum left us with a very positive impression. Vitaly was pleasant and professional and really took the time to answer all of our questions. He showed us samples and shared ideas of how to best approach the project. Vitaly and his team were courteous, reliable and hard-working. They were clean and respectful of our home and property. They have an incredible eye for detail and they don't cut corners. It's obvious that they really care about making their customers happy and they take pride in their work. In the end, they changed the eavestroughs, siding and freeze boards and left the house looking and feeling so refreshed! We are so pleased with their work and would not hesitate to recommend them. The VCS team is honest, hard-working and simply a pleasure to work with.

In November 2013, my husband and I purchased called Jorge from Long Life Heating and AC to service the furnace in the home we had just moved into. We had previously hired Jorge for service of our furnace in our condo, with no issues. He recommended installing a new furnace. As the existing one was around 15 year old, we felt this was reasonable and went ahead and purchased a new furnace from him. He included three years of annual service in the price. He installed the furnace, we paid, and that was that. Fast-forward to this year. We called him for our annual service. He never answered his phone. We left countless voice and text messages, to no avail. Finally, we called from a number that he wouldn't recognise.... and we managed to talk to him! He agreed to come provide the annual maintenance the following week. I took the afternoon off, and he stood me up. He did not reply to our calls and text messages and didn't keep his word about either the appointment or the 3 year service included in the contract. This type of behaviour is utterly unprofessional - buyer beware!

We just completed major renovations on our home. We wanted to be sure that the air we were breathing was clean and not full of sawdust and plaster particles! After seeing the great reviews online, we decided to call the Duct Cleaning Specialists. They were courteous and prompt in setting up an appointment. When Matt and Jonathan showed up, they were extremely polite, careful, and diligent. They spent a great amount of time in our small house to make sure the air we (and especially our toddler!) breathe is clean. They were also great about providing general information about ductwork, furnace, ac, etc. We were just so impressed by this small business with dedicated, professional employees. Would definitely recommend them!

Renovating our fixer-upper. We have a small kitchen, about 10'x10'. I love to cook, and need to maximise space. We saw a nice kitchen at an open house in a home similar to ours. We were referred to Golden Summit. We brought the pictures there and told them our situation. Right away, they were able to identify ways of improving on the kitchen in the pictures. They installed on time, as expected, and did clean work. I am really impressed by how much storage space I have. Although the kitchen is smaller than in my last house, with the tall upper cabinets, I am actually able to fit more stuff in. They also incorporated a lazy suzan and a built in spice rack for maximum function. Price was a bit lower than a comparable kitchen from everyone's favourite swedish home store, though we opted for maple cabinets. Only thing they didn't do was caulk around the edges of the counters, though that's ok since we are putting in a backsplash soon.

We recently bought a fixer-upper home that needed some new windows. We were referred to Shri from SVS Windows, and we could not be happier. He was pleasant to deal with, got our windows relatively quickly, and cleaned up after the installation. The new windows are beautiful, work wonderfully, and the price was reasonable. We will be replacing our doors next and I will definitely be going to SVS.

My family and I are in the process of buying a new home. Upon home inspection, the inspector flagged some issues with the electrical service in the house not being up to code and being a serious fire hazard. However, the sellers were adamant that the electrical in the house was fine. So we wanted a certified electrician to take a closer look at the house, to have a better idea of the issues and potential costs. This is where Hotwire comes in. Oris the electrician gave us a comprehensive overview of the electrical problems in the house. He took the time to explain the issues and possible repercussions. He helped us understand what is "normal" for a home that age and what is not, which will help us when looking at other homes. We were provided with a detailed report and estimate. I would not hesitate to use Hotwire again, they were really great to deal with!
