We chose Fortress out of four separate window supplier and/or installer quotes in part because of the amazing support, honesty, integrity, and authenticity of our sales contact Richard. All 10 windows and 2 exterior doors of our old fixer upper needed to be replaced, and as first-time homeowners we had no idea where to start. From the moment we first met Richard he was more than happy to explain every step and every feasible option for us with patience and a smile on his face. After we decided on what would work best for us (full brick-to-brick/stud-to-stud replacement, Richard kept up updated on the supply process *AND* was extremely understanding while we had our own delays wrestling with the federal renovation grant/loan process. Come installation day, Amnon and his team of installers were astoundingly efficient and polite. Despite completely cutting out 12 large openings in an older house they left the worksite tidy and with 10 gorgeous new (operational! clean! energy-efficient!) windows and 2 stunning exterior doors in place. Much easier said than done. Both as the work was being completed and after the installers had long-since left, Richard followed up to see if we had questions and to help is review the work done to ensure we were satisfied. We had a fantastic experience with Fortress Windows & Doors--particularly with Richard, Amnon, and Amnon's installation team--and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking to get work done.

David and Nick (apprentice) came out to upgrade pur 100A glass fuse panel to a 100A breaker panel, as well as install a bathroom exhaust fan. David and Nick were also the ones who came out to do the quote and so when I was given the option to have them do the work as well, I jumped on that opportunity. The bathroom fan is SO quiet and despite running into trouble with the way our awkward bathroom door/wall is framed, they managed to make the end result of the new bathroom light and fan switch look fantastic and well-placed! Both David and Nick were friendly, positive, and professional. They are an absolute joy to have in your home doing work both in terms of their personalities/courteousness and the quality of their work. We would absolutely recommend AC Electrical to friends and family for electrical work (in fact, we already have), and plan to contact them again when we tackle larger projects with redoing our kitchen next year.

E Vaillancourt Plumbing was responsive from the beginning -- starting with the process of requesting a quote, having the technicians come in to quote, booking the work, and having the work completed. Mark was the main technician who carried out the quote and then completed the work. Mark is honest, friendly, and efficient. There was open communication the entire time and as a new home owner, Mark answered questions I had about my home's plumbing and taught me a few things about the materials and state of my home that I would not have thought to consider. We have an older home and Mark noticed a few areas needing repair, both ASAP and "eventual" repairs, while completing the quoted work. There was never a sense of sales pressure, just information, and when I asked how we could book in some of the additional repairs Mark and his helper were able to get it done with a quick visit the following morning. I will absolutely refer E Vaillancourt to friends and family, and will be going to them again for any future plumbing needs!

Contacted Convertible Heating and Air Conditioning as first-time house owners looking to have the gas furnace of our recently purchased house looked at and cleaned. Sam handled the booking over the phone and was incredibly friendly and knowledgable. Sam was more than willing to answer general questions about furances and A/C units on the call, and also shared details about the company and what they do. Raj was the professional who arrived on-site for the furnace tune-up. He was efficient, clean, and very friendly. We had dozens of questions about the furnace, HVAC in general, the installation of A/C, gas feeds, and even the wiring that supplies the major HVAC systems. Raj patiently answered all of our questions and showed us each step of what he was doing with the tune-up. He also verbally provided an outline of the home owner's responsibilities to keep the furnace clean and safe (change air filters 3-4x a year, keep clearance, book general cleanings/tune-ups every few years). We will definitely be reaching out to Convertible Heating and Air Conditioning again for anything furnace or water heater related, and when we get our A/C unit purchased/installed!

We were looking for quotes on a suspected leak affecting the structure of the house, and an insulation clearance concern with exhausts penetrating the roof. As new homeowners we are not yet familiar with who to go to for which concerns. Finley Roofing took the time to reach out to us to listen to our concerns and help us evaluate our situation. It was clear that they were very knowledgeable and despite quickly identifying that this was not a job for a roofing company, they continued speaking with us to direct us to the specialists who could help, teach us how to identify certified workmanship, and give us maintenance and evaluation tips for our continued monitoring and care of our roof. In comparison, the other roofing companies we reached out to for quotes never even responded -- likely because they also recognized that our job required different services, but they did not want to spend the time to communicate that. Finley Roofing truly went above and beyond to reach out and spend the time speaking with us. Amazing customer service -- and we are not even customers (yet!!) Based on this fantastic experience, we will absolutely be recommending Finley Roofing to anyone in need of roofing services and will not hesitate to contact them for our own future needs.

We connected with Brad from Twin Peaks Property Inspections on short notice looking for a same-day pre-purchases assessment to help us build our buying offer. Brad was incredibly accomodating and managed to make room to get our inspection in that same evening. Even though we were limited on time, Brad never hesitated to answer our questions or investigate deeper into any areas of concern that we had. The assessment was very thorough, particularly given the time restraints, and priced competitively. The written .PDF report provided at the end was well-made, easy to navigate, and detailed with photos -- with a quick turnaround time at that! Absolutely will work with Brad again -- hopefully on the post-purchase inspection of this property, but on any assessment/inspection that we need going forward in the Oshawa region.
