After my initial meeting with Jussi, I knew I wanted JPM Construction to do our home renovation. Gillian from Affecting Spaces created the overall design for our forever home and JPM made it into a reality for us. The JPM crew were all very punctual, courteous and professional. Special thanks to our general manager, Rob who became my go to person for the entire project. He always listened to our concerns and ensured they were addressed right away. He was very responsive and always available when I needed to discuss anything with him. He also made sure all the trades coming into the house were very professional and timely. Despite COVID-19 almost halting our home renovation in March, JPM ensured all safety precautions were taken and they were able to finish our home renovation on time! They were actually on track to finish early if it wasn't for COVID-19 which is unheard of! Our house has become our FOREVER home thanks to JPM Construction! Because we were so happy with our home renovation, they are now transforming our backyard into our FOREVER backyard with a pool! Jussi and Rob are the BEST and we would not hesitate to recommend JPM Construction to our friends.

John and his team refinished my custom double doors this summer. They were the original doors (25 years old) and looked very weathered and old. They removed the doors, secured my front entrance and were able to refinish the doors to their original state. The doors look amazing and now my front entrance has been completely transformed! I highly recommend John for any refinishing/painting projects! Thanks John!

This is the first time I am posting a review about a company. I usually do not have time to post reviews but my experience was so horrible that I thought this was necessary. I had home pro come to my house for a chimney cleaning but after checking their website that lists animal proofing as a service they provide, I asked them to investigate an animal problem we were having. I was charged $630 for "animal proofing" that was completed. Bill assured me that there was no way the animal would get back into the house and if I had a problem to call him. I heard animal sounds a few days later and when I called home pro, all they could say was that there is no warranty on animal proofing. I told them I wanted someone to come and investigate and they gave me an appointment for a week later because they were "too busy". No one showed up for the appointment and I didn't receive a phone call from home pro about rescheduling. I called a few times to reschedule and they did not call me back with an appointment. After numerous attempts to get an appointment (at this point it was 3 weeks from the time the initial animal proofing was done), I got very upset and finally spoke to Scott at home pro. I felt that Scott was rude and unprofessional. He said they did not have to come back to investigate the animal issue because there is no warranty and that it was a "courtesy". I told him that I paid $630 for animal proofing that clearly didn't work. I also told him that I am a lawyer and that this was unacceptable and that if I didn't get my money back that I would pursue legal action against the company and his response was "go ahead, we will not pay you back and you know how hard it is to collect the judgment." I was shocked by his response and quickly realized that Scott was not going to help me and called another company to address the animal problem. The other company came the same day I called and quickly and accurately identified the entry point of the squirrels that was missed by home pro. They also charged a lot less than what home pro charged me. It is clear that home pro does not care about customer satisfaction after they get paid. I gave them ample opportunity to rectify the situation but they clearly did not think it was a priority. I have never been treated so poorly by a home services company and I do not believe that Home Pro should list animal services on their website.

After the first company I hired failed to animal proof my house properly, I called SWAT Wildlife because of the excellent reviews I read on Home Stars. Ken from SWAT came to my house the same day and was able to identify the entry point that the red squirrels had found into my house and set up a one-way door so the squirrels can exit but not re enter. He also suggested further animal proofing that could be done on the roof which I appreciated. He was very professional and courteous. When I heard animal sounds a few days later, I called SWAT and Ken returned the same afternoon to investigate. I appreciate the prompt service and I am happy to know that SWAT fulfills the warranty they provide on their work. I would highly recommend SWAT for animal issues.
