We've used Thermo Cool a couple times since purchasing our 8-year-old condo, two years ago. This company is one of the contractors recommended by our condo. They were here this week to investigate a persistent annoying noise coming from our fan coil unit. The technician was prompt, professional, and thorough. He was able to rapidly identify and fix the problem, explaining everything as he worked. (The issue was a loud "water hammer" noise every time the cooling water valve closed, at the end of a cooling cycle. A slight adjustment to the opening position of the valve stopped the sound). No attempt to "upsell" me on unnecessary parts/services (which I have heard other companies try to do), and I think that $160 for the first hour of work is reasonable for downtown Toronto.

We just bought a condo with a lovely private terrace/outdoor cooking area. One corner of the natural stone countertop was broken off, but luckily the previous owner had kept the broken piece. it was quite a large piece but a clean break. Alex repaired it such that you cannot tell the piece had been broken off. He was professional, efficient and pleasant. He gave me some tips on how to protect the outdoor countertop moving forward. Highly recommend.

Pleasant, professional and efficient handyman who quickly dismantled a large desk for us since we were moving. Based on our interaction with him, we would definitely use him again for other handyman services.

Mike came to seal our driveway, as it was looking a bit worn/faded after several years. He also filled a crack with filler. We were pleased with the work. Mike was professional, careful (he taped around the driveway before spraying the sealer), reasonably-priced and completed the job a few days after I contacted him. I would use his services again.

My sister recommended Felicia to me. We needed some assistance with wall colours, as well as a few other design issues, for the new home we had just purchased. My husband and I found Felicia to be knowledgeable and extremely personable. We feel she went above and beyond, and would definitely use her services again! Looking forward to implementing her suggestions when we close on our home in the fall!

We got quotes from four different painting companies, all from HomeStars. Home Painters fell in the middle of the price range for the job we needed done (painting and caulking exterior wooden window frames, doors, garage doors, and a backyard shed, all which were in pretty rough condition). Customer service was excellent from start to finish - from the quote with Scott, to speaking with Scott by phone after the quote to answer some questions, to actually scheduling the work. The two painters arrived promptly on time on the scheduled day, worked diligently and neatly, and were lovely to deal with. They finished the work in 1.5 days. The painting should last for at least 5 years, according to them, so it will be telling to see if it does. The company seems very focussed on customer satisfaction, so I am quite confident that if we do experience any issues with the work later on, they will work hard to make it right.

We were having ongoing issues with the latches on both gates leading to our backyard. Bert suggested a new solution, was able to come within a few days of me calling him, and efficiently completed the work. I would absolutely use him again for home projects.

I used All Door Systems to replace a busted spring on our garage door, and also to do some yearly maintenance (replacing the rollers, lubricating and adjusting the automatic openers). Eddie has always been easy to reach, prompt, with a very fair price.

We chose Waterproof Masters to repair a foundational crack which was causing leaking into our (thankfully) unfinished basement after heavy rains. The work was just done yesterday, so I cannot truthfully comment on whether the problem has been solved (need to wait for another heavy rain -- but based on the work that was done, I am confident the problem has been fixed). However, the service level from estimate to job completion was phenomenal. We chose Waterproof Masters based on the comments in HomeStars and their good rating with the Better Business Bureau, as well as the glowing comments from some of the references that John provided. The guys showed up on time, were extremely professional and careful while they were doing the work, and did such a great clean-up that truthfully you couldn't even tell that any work had been done. They hosed down the driveway, cleaned up all the dirt, and left the work area spotless. Caylin (?) -- the lady in the office, was also wonderful to deal with -- and very patient with me despite me calling her several times to clarify details about the job. My husband and I have done major renovations in our home, and have had our share of both excellent and shoddy tradespeople. John and Waterproof Masters are one of the good ones!
