Andre from Air Doctors was a pleasure to work with. He was prompt and courteous in his communication. He provided me an initial quote based on my estimated measurements and some photos. When he arrived and saw the space, he lowered the quote as he stated the area was smaller than he thought from the pictures. I appreciated his honesty. Andre was clear in providing information about the process of removing the tile from our basement, and did a thorough job, beyond what I was expecting him to do. He cleaned up and removed some extra garbage unrelated to his job and left the space looking even better than when he arrived (I'm pretty sure it was him that picked up a piece of trash on my driveway that I hadn't got to, and the runner in front of the basement door looked suspiciously cleaner or possibly vacuumed...not the state I remember it in when he arrived). :) Thanks so much Andre, I would highly recommend Air Doctors.

I contacted Avenue Road Masonry along with a few other companies to obtain quotes for a number of repairs on my property, including waterproofing (entire side of house and one window well), concrete (replacing part of driveway with pavers), brick and stone work (repairing cracks, replacing a stone pillar). Chris was prompt in responding and helpful in explaining all the procedures and options available. The different repairs were all related to water drainage problems along the side of my house. Although I had contacted different companies to repair the jobs separately, Avenue was the only company that had comprehensive knowledge of how all these repairs were related and the impacts of each on the other. Robert managed the project and the crew that performed the work did a great job. They were prompt, respectful of the property, professional, and cleaned up after themselves. The project was completed within the estimated timeline as well. I am very pleased with the finished results and was assured that if I noticed anything I wasn't satisfied with, to let them know and they would make any needed corrections or alterations. I had never rented a bin before and called quite a few companies that seemed to quote me higher than I expected, given the debris I had (mostly wood from a retaining wall). When I called Gorilla bins, they were very helpful in answering my questions and put me at ease. Service was prompt (they accommodated my short notice timeline and picked up the bin in the promised time frame). The price was lower than my other quotes and the service very personable. Thanks.

I first hired Fern Ridge last year to complete a plan for a complete landscape makeover that we could accomplish in phases. This year, we started phase one: a new retaining wall and front entrance stairs. Throughout the process, Mike was communicative and responsive as we made our plans and, due to weather, had to reschedule. He was upfront and kept me in the loop as things changed. The crew that arrived, lead by Kyle, were friendly and informative. Again, things didn't always go exactly as planned (it rained, shipments were delayed, etc), but they kept me continuously informed and updated. The men were respectful and worked hard, going above and beyond what was required of them when they offered to help load up garbage from the removal of the previous retaining wall. That was not in their job description, and I so appreciate them staying longer to do that. I am very happy with the completion of this first phase and looking forward to continuing the projects with them until my property is complete! Thanks Mike, Kyle and everyone else!

I called around to a number of blinds companies to try and get blinds that would fit a wide window I have. I was told repeatedly that I would need to buy two blinds to cover the window. When I called Budget Blinds, they were the only ones who offered a custom fit that would cover the entire width of that window. I was pleased with the consultation and how they were able to accommodate my budget. The installers were quick and efficient and cleaned up after themselves. I am really happy with the end product.

I had a small job in my basement to replace some wood laminate floor. I called around and nobody seemed interested in consulting with me or coming to take a look at the space except Andy. He was forthright about the possible solutions and got the job done efficiently and economically. My floor looks great!

When my roof started leaking, I came to Homestars to find a roofing company. I got a few quotes, but I was most impressed by Danny who took the time to sit down and explain to me everything that I needed to know. He and his crew went above and beyond my expectations. Danny took the time to temporarily fix up my roof so it wouldn't leak while I was waiting for them to come and replace it. He also made sure some other minor repairs were done so my roof would be in optimal shape. They did a great clean up job too. I felt comfortable and confident with this company and would recommend them.

I had all the windows in my house replaced in 2009. Brock windows did a fantastic job and I was very pleased with the results. However, one of the windows has been leaking badly for some time. At first I thought I had been leaving the window open by accident, so I didn't call the company to repair it. This past week, I made sure the windows were closed during all the rainfall, and I discovered significant leaks all around the frame. The paint on the wall is even peeling because of the water. I called Brock two days ago to get something done, and no one has called me back. I am very disappointed with the delay and I wonder how much I'm going to have to hassle them to get this fixed. It doesn't seem like they stand behind their product once they got the job done. **UPDATE** Since posting this I was contacted several times by Brock and have received satisfactory feed back. Although I was disappointed by the response time, it appears the problem is not in the windows but in the roof. My rating on the quality of workmanship remains the same - it was great - but I wish they had responded sooner.

I have a ceiling fan that was giving people shocks when touched. Sean came to take a look at it, explained and showed me the problem and how he was going to fix it. He was friendly and courteous, worked efficiently, and cleaned up after himself. I would definitely use this company again and recommend them to others.
