We had a blackout in the neighbourhood about 2-3 weeks ago. When power was restored around 5 pm, 25% of our house was still in the dark. I immediately went to Home stars to find an electrician. I reviewed a number of them and finally called Photon. It's amazing how bad luck (the blackout) changed to good luck (finding Ali, this amazing electrician). Ali was here in 2 hours and fixed the problem in a professional manner and explained everything he was about to do. He then told us that our electric panel was rated unsafe by ESF. He showed me the report of this panel online. He went further to explain that the electrician who did reno work when we moved into our house overloaded 6 breakers and there was a small amount of water leaking in from the outside. A disaster waiting to happen. He was not selling us a bill of goods as he showed me every detail with a thorough explanation. I agreed with him and got a quote to install a new electric panel. His quote was reasonable, and we went ahead. He then walked me through the process with ESF and our electric company. We got a date of December 13 for the work, and he showed up promptly to do the job. He was here from 7 am until 11 pm since the inspector was running behind to approve the job. He returned the next day to tidy up some odds and ends (9am-5pm), and the next day to label the panel. He also, BTW, shoveled the end of our driveway so this old guy wouldn't slip on the ice. He then vacuumed the whole work site and left the house in pristine condition. All this work and he stuck to his price. Needless to say, I have found the perfect electrical contractor

Juan gave us an estimate based on the measurements and pictures I sent him. He was quite professional on the phone, arrived on time and did a great job with no extra charges. He was honest and forthright and will have him back to do any cleaning we need.

Shayan was quick to respond to my phone call and made a very professional house visit promptly to see and quote our job. We hired him based on his professional attitude as well as his colour person who gave us great info as to colour. The job crew was great. They were on time every day and were neat and clean. The job was completed to our satisfaction and the follow up was first class. We realized after we paid for the job that one part was not done. They were here within a few days to do that part. Painting a house can be a stressful experience, but they made id bearable. Its been a week since they finished and we are just about back to normal.

Thanksgiving night and our sink backed up. This presented quite a mess. I called John the next morning at 8 am and he said he would be here at 11. John arrived promptly at 11 and fixed the problem quickly and neatly. He was the definition of a true Master Plumber. Thanks John

The seats for 2 of our dining room chairs broke and we were having a dinner party in a few days. Keith repaired the seats ( replaced the broken particle board base with 5/8 inch plywood) and had us back in business in 2 days. His shop is meticulous and he was most friendly and so easy to work with. I am almost hoping to have a large job to give him.

We had 2 issues that had to be dealt with, one on the semi-urgent kind and one that was not so pressing. It seems the handle on our Kitchenaid range fell off and the door gasket on our front loading GE washer was mopldy. I called Chris after reading several revciews on various sites because he was in the area and got excellent reviews. I called on a Saturday and he was able to order the gasket that day for a Monday pick-up. He gave us a 2 hour window for the repair on Monday and was prompt. Not only did he fix the 2 issues quickly, neatly, and professionally, but gave us hints to prevent the problem from recurring. I found his price most reasonable and found Chris to be most personable. I would absolutely recommend Uptown Appliance repair without reserfvation

I found Dave and his crew to be reliable, honest and excellent workmen. The job was started and finished on time and the work site was left very clean. There was an unexpected complication during the job that was handled truthfully without price gouging. Very professional company.
