Calan came out and had done some work on the tree right after the big September snow storm. I had just bought the house and he recommended some structural pruning and dead-wooding. He came back and did that for a fair price, and did a wonderful job. The tree looks much better and should last a lot longer now too. I plan on using Black Bird again in the future.

I needed insulation blown into my attic to upgrade the R value. They were quick to come out and give a quote, the work was done in good time, and the staff were great on site. Quality of work was good, but could improved upon if there were something to improve. Overall I would recommend them to others.

We had Sunny South Kwik Kerb come out three times (three different phases of work) to do curbing around tree beds in the yard on the acreage. The work was well done, timing was good, and overall we were very happy with the end results.

When we bought our first house we had new laminate and lino floors put in. The sales staff at FloorRight Interiors were great, helped us make good selections that worked for us. The installers were also really good. The renovations were done before we moved in, and they worked well around the other trades working on the house so we could move in on time. They were recommended to us, and I would recommend them for future work.

When we bought our first house and renovated, it was suggested that we have the panel checked to make sure it wasn't over loaded. Weitz Electric came in and did a full check, removed some switches for an old tub, and did some other small changes. They were prompt, knowledgeable and reasonable prices.

We had our roof shingles replaced back in 2010. The materials used were great, the explanation of what was being done and why were very helpful, and the overall job was done quickly and properly. We were very pleased with the roof and quality of service and installation. We would recommend and use them again for future roofing needs.

The work was great, the workers did a really good quality job, on time, on budget, and the price quoted was very fair. We had 2 showers and tubs pulled out with new ones installed, and all new toilets installed, a new hot water tank installed, and a new dishwasher. Mike listened to what we wanted and was very helpful in getting it done in a timely fashion. I would recommend Mike's Plumbing to anyone.

We had both fire places in our first home replaced- the unit, the stone work, mantle, etc. The work was good, the workers were good, and they were helpful throughout the whole process. My parents also used them for some work and they were good then too. I would recommend them and certainly hire them again.

This home inspection was for a home we didn't end up buying, but the home inspection was good. The inspector was good at pointing things out to us, walked through the house and pointed things out to us, which is nice. A good report with pictures was also provided after the inspection was done. This was the second time we used pillar to post and after trying many company's we have found them to be the best.

We got new air conditioning installed this summer. The product was good, but the original estimate and promise of the amount of sears dollars we would get back was less than half of the original quote. The installation was good, but they did have to come back to install a relay switch as they forgot the first time around. Overall the experience was ok, but I would shop around.

We had some trees planted, beds with weedbarrier and mulch installed. The landscapers were great, good work, and the yard looks amazing. We have used them on 2 houses now, smaller projects, but happy with both outcomes.

We had the exterior of our parents home painted, the work was well done, and the painters were good and respectful of the property. We have used them before, and would recommend them.

We had our furnace serviced, and the fire place done too, and a heating vent extended. The heating vent extension was limited to access, but better than it was before. As for the furnace and fireplace servicing, not much was done, used our vacuum to clean them, the furnace wasn't tuned (maybe it didn't need it?) but didn't seem like anything was done on those. Would call them again if we needed something, but would clarify what we were getting done first.

We had some old toilets that were leaking replaced with new water saving ones. A fair price was quoted for installs. There was an issue with the toilets or something and they had to come back several times to fix leaks. When it came time for the bill it was awkward as they wanted some extra money to cover cutting out some tile if they had to and the additional trips. The tile was never cut out and they got them fixed, but multiple trips to fix it shouldn’t be covered as part of the install. Overall they are great, but if something happens and they have to come back to fix it, the cost shouldn’t fall on the customer unless part of the original quote as a condition just in case. I would recommend them to anyone. They did our new basement toilet too and they were great, no issues on that, just bad luck with the 2 replacements!

We had some old carpet replaced, and new carpet in the basement. The quotes were reasonable, and the installers were good. Overall a good experience. I would recommend them and use them again. Installers we best the first time around, but quality of work was good both times.

Most trust worthy contractors ever. They do the work properly and professionally, they bring in the right trades for the right jobs, fully compliant with building codes. They were a pleasure to deal with, and they do smaller jobs (e.g. basements) and bigger jobs (e.g. full houses). They were referred to us, and we have already referred them to others.

Worst home inspection ever. The inspector was rude and missed important things like a watermark on the ceiling from the master shower that was never pointed out that still had moisture amongst other. I have hired many home inspectors, and I would never call or recommend Home-Alyze.

We had our furnace serviced and cleaned when we moved in. The service technician was on time and very nice. He worked in our favor to get an approval for a warranty replacement on the furnace fan since we had just bought the house and before we moved in the furnace wasn't ever serviced (voids warranty). They are great and I would have them back any day and recommend them to others.

We had a home inspections by Amerispec. The report was not that detailed (no pictures), but he reviewed any issues with me on site an explained everything, but a more detailed report would have been nice. When I tried to get my free 500 aeroplan miles from them they always said they would credit my account, but it never happened. Kind of nice to get those bonuses when you pay almost $500 for something.
