All windows installed 2007 - all failed over time - bad seals
I purchased a new home in the beginning of 2007 on the condition that all windows would be replaced with new windows with a transferable homeowner warranty. We moved in and found the windows had been installed new and worked perfectly and we were very pleased. Over the next few years each window began to fail - bad seals within the double glass assembly. After the second visit by the serviceman they stated the year these were installed they used low grade seals from China which were gradually failing. I was not concerned as there replacement service was fantastic and the replacement glass assemblies are still working amazing. My problem comes with the what I believe is the last panel that needs replacement. I called their service department who said they would contact the warehouse/factory to get in touch with me, they did to tell me that I would have to pay service/labor costs for the replacement. Wow after the 2 or 3 service calls for replacing faulty seals admittedly by them I now have to pay labor? This is ridiculous and I called them back to understand why I was being billed labor cost? They stated they did the other service calls based on good faith....good faith? For a faulty product they installed that failed and not every telling me there was going to be a service/labor charge? I told the service person on the phone that this was not acceptable - they said they were going to call me back now 2 weeks later they have now and this is why I am leaving this review.
