I found AC Electrical on Homestars. We recently bought my in-laws home (03/2017). It is a 40 year old semi with aluminum wiring. We need the wiring to be rejuvenated for insurance purposes. While we were at it we decided to upgrade the service to 220, and add pot lights in the basement. We also added a couple of switches and a few extra outlets. The owner came out to inspect the site and provide me some recommendations. The electrician (Ebby) was just fantastic. Punctual, hard-working, tidy and great attention to details. We liked his work so much that we asked him back to install pot lights in the kitchen and living room. We would not hesitate in having him back help us with any other electrical issues that come up. I’ve used AC a number of times over the last decade. Every single time they’ve provided excellent service from scheduling to onsite work and inspections. They stand behind their guarantees though I’ve never had need to use them (I thought I had a problem and they said it was under warranty at no charge to fix but then we realized there was no problem as it was my operating error). The licensed electricians arrive on time, scope/cost the work up front, work efficiently, are courteous, walk you through the finish work and conclude things well. AC is my go to electrical company. We called Steven one evening in January upon learning that the source of our non functioning furnace was due to the electrical wiring.
Steven showed up at our door within 20 minutes of placing the initial call. He investigated the problem and highlighted other potential sources of dangerous wiring.

Ac Eletrical is one of best companies I have ever hired. I have worked with ac electrical two times over several years and they have consistently been reliable, responsible, conscientious, and competitively priced. They organized all aspects of my generator installation, and got the job done in a timely fashion as well as going above and beyond what I expected. They stand out because of their integrity and expertise- I have no hesitation in recommending their services.

We were hit with two problems in one day - frozen pipes and blown electrical circuits because of our use of space heaters to defrost the pipes. I reviewed Homestars and was impressed with the number of positive reviews AC Electrical earned. And after contacting them, Steven was here within half an hour. He immediately knew how to correct the blown electrical circuits and got everything back online immediately. And to my surprise (and relief) he also knew a great deal about pipes and plumbing. He was able to determine that the main water shut off valve had been drywalled over by a previous owner, and explained that we needed access to both that valve and the area where the pipes froze. After leaving to get the materials, he made a couple of educated guesses and quickly found the shut off valve and frozen pipes. He warmed the pipes up with a blow dryer and then wrapped them in both a) a protective substance to help keep them warm; and b) a cable wrapped around the pipes that helps monitor and respond with heat to pipes that may be freezing. And within 2 or 3 hours of coming, we had hot water and access to that all important shut off valve. We consider ourselves lucky that although Steven is an electrician, he’s familiar with many other trades. As a result, we didn’t need to hire both an electrician and a plumber. We highly recommend this company because of their commitment to help and their knowledge.
