Nest Learning Thermostat - Low Battery
During one of the coldest nights in the GTA, our Nest learning thermostat suffered the dreaded "low battery" and disconnected itself from the network, our wifi and app. Seeing that this was the first time this had happened since it was installed, we didnt know what to do. After trying to troubleshoot it on our own, then referring to YouTube videos, by lunch we resolved to calling Reliance to help. Their customer contact center was friendly and understanding. They arranged to have a service tech come by the same day. By the afternoon Vedesh from Reliance had arrived. He was very pleasant and professional. He knew exactly what needed to be done. He hooked up a common wire to the thermostat, so no more "low battery" warnings would occur. When the job was done, he cleaned his work area. You'd never known he was there. I'd recommend him and will ask for him in the future when my furnace filters need to be replaced.
