Mike said his drone had detected a couple of raised tiles. They were roofers working in the area and he could fix the problem for $450. Once he was on the roof he detected a hole in the wood which would need replacing so the job would now cost $3,200. So I
said ok go ahead. Soon after, he said the roof wood had dry rot, we need to do your whole roof and replace all the wood, shingles, icing paper and insulation for the very special price of $30,000! I was starting to get suspicious and this was confirmed when I received more favorable quotes. I did not want to proceed with the big job at that time so I asked Mike to finish the small job that he had started. He said that in order to finish properly would cost $6,400 (I recall that figure included gst). Since I wanted to get shut of the whole business, I agreed and went off to brunch with my friend and asked my son if he would be kind enough to pay them when they finished the job.
This last bit will blow your mind!
Mike comes to my son and says that it is absolutely essential that the beams be sprayed with a special chemical solution. The additional cost will be $4,000!
AND the whole bill had to be paid in CASH!!

you had lots of options when the roof was opened you asked us to stop to get another quotation then I received the call from you for you asking me to fix the roof I give you a quotation you were happy to go ahead you ****** *** ******** and now you're complaining I was refunding $2,100 to you would you still decide to send it I would not take it back for what reason I don't know from day one your son wanted to pay to have your roof done and you were calling us names and upsetting us don't know why the reason for this is as we were refunding you and you would not let it happen
