It started with some custom shelving that we needed, and it was a small job that no one else wanted, but Luis came to the rescue. After that, he took care of paneling and painting in our bedroom, flooring in my office, and more. Luis is reasonable, honest, punctual, friendly, and very good at what he does. No need for us to call anyone else.

Luis is a first class person with exceptional set of skills. I would trust him with any type of renovations. I hired him to for my entire house. Pot lights, Plumbing, Flooring, Custom trim, custom ceilings, drywall, Garage, counter top and fences. Its a endless project has he now also does service for my rental places. Luis did a complete renovation of my basement for an accessory dwelling. Basement was completely unfinished Luis helped created a full seperate apartment which i know have rented to earn extra income. Renovation included putting in plumbing, electrical, support beams, egress window, walling off seperate entrance, putting in laundry, kitchen, washroom etc. The work was excellent and Luis was on time and responsive. Highly recommended.

Luis and Marques Custom Carpentry & Renovations Inc., on a variety of projects within our home over the past few years.

Our first project was renovating a bedroom in our basement. The team were fantastic. Before the work began Luis consulted us on the different flooring, closet organizers, and window options. It was clear it was important to Luis that we as his clients were informed and felt comfortable before any work started. Once the work began, every day we received status reports from the team, and if our end date was still going to be met. The room was completed with days to spare and the finished product was beautiful. What was once a dark, sad room in our basement is now our very comfortable and inviting office and gym with tons of options for storage.

Luis and team also completely redid our roof. Similar to the basement project, Luis walked us through all our options for materials. He explained in detail what work was required and what the project timeline looked like. The roof was a big project and there were delays caused by rain but Luis and his team worked on the weekends to make up the lost days. They also left the roof and surrounding area clean at the end of every day and provided us with clear and concise project updates.

Luis and team have also closed up a skylight in one of our bedrooms, completed plumbing repairs in our washrooms, updated our deck, and have installed a new fan in our powder room.

We have worked with Luis on nearly every home project because we trust him and know that the job is going to be done perfectly.

Luis is a perfectionist and always professional but what I really admire about him is his ability to share the right type of the information with his clients in a way that makes sense to them. He is incredibly patient, transparent, and never makes you feel foolish by your questions.

These guys have remained professional since inquiry of the job until the completion. They were respectful of my space and completed the job within the estimated time line. Marques Custom Carpentry & Renovations Inc. came to give us a quote shortly after we contacted him. He returned to do the job when he told us he could fit us in his schedule. His quoted amount was the amount he charged us. He planned out the arrangement of the tiles for a pleasing design. He did the job in two days and cleaned up extremely well each day. I would not hesitate to recommend him to our best friends and would have him again for a future job. I would give him a 5/5 rating.

Luis and his crew were very professional and patient. They installed new floors, window and door casings, a special nook for the piano and built a mantle for the fireplace. As a carpenter, Luis has an eye for detail. We have used his services in the past and will do so again!
