RT General Contracting

Strongly recommend avoiding this company.

Estimated and contracted for $4200 to be done in July, paid 50% in July.

Could not find a date that worked. Contract signed by me July 25th asked for their executed copy same day, no reply.

RT committed to August 19th start informed me that will not happen on Saturday the 17th.

RT recommitted to August 26th, guys showed up told me they are putting the new flooring on top of the old flooring (quote was CLEAR that removal of the old floor was in scope), they left without saying anything.

Got a new email quote for $11000, but they wanted to make me a deal and said $8250. Got to a point to have the work start on August 29th, but they refused to show up unless I paid more up front.

Did some digging, they do not have a physical office. The company is actually 2857820 Ontario Ltd. There is no Real Time General Contracting, nor RT General Contracting. I have trusted Homestars for a few projects, but don't just read the ratings dig into them some more. The only upside is I got my deposit back, eventually. Beware and avoid this company, no address, no last names. I should have known better.

RT General Contracting was very accommodating to my needs and they made me feel like a priority. They also stayed late a couple nights so they can finish the job in a timely manner which I was very happy with. I will definitely use them again for future renovations and would recommend them to anyone in need of quality work.

they were very responsive with a very short notice. the handy man was very goad and resourceful.
they are not expensive.

I needed to fix the front steps of my house just before going on the market. RT contractors responded nearly instantly, they arrived when they promised ( very quickly) did the job very well, cleaned up and were gone. Very pleased with how it worked out. No unexpected costs. I would use them again!

Sprayed with anti-mold solution
Painted with kilz
Put in plastic access hatches
Replace baseboard, carpet, then put the baseboard back.
Looks like new.

I was expecting my tile guys to work on shower niches. But they wanted framing guys to create niches before they tile them. When I called Aliyaha, she sent her team on time and they finished the work as expected in 4 bathrooms.

I appreciate their work and they are very responding as well.
