We had a very short overlap (less than three weeks) between when we possessed our new place and moved out from the old place. We had planned to use the overlap to completely renovate two bathrooms in our new place. Looking for contractors who would help us with the renovation project, the first question we asked everyone was whether it is doable, given our timeline. Homejoy development assured us that it can be done. They quickly put together a quote and even directly communicated with the strata in a very effective manner to get their approval. The strata required us to get a permission from the City for the electrical work. Homejoy development again reassured us that the project can still be completed within our time frame, even if permits are required. The next hurdle for us was to find bathroom fixtures (faucets, sinks, bathtub, etc.) in a pandemic-stricken market where everyone else was also apparently renovating their bathrooms! Homejoy Development referred us to a supplier who promised that he can order and get us all that we needed within the timeframe of our project. When the project was going on the company communicated regularly and updated us on the projects progress. If we asked for something that wasnt part of the initial quote, they explained our options and gave us recommendations. They coordinated the demolition, plumbing, electrical work, cabinetry, tiling, and installing the glass door and new fixtures. The renovation project included turning a bathtub in one of the bathrooms to a custom standing shower (including a custom bathroom niche) and replacing the toilets, the sinks, the vanities and installing a medicine cabinet and a mirror, in addition to installing pot lights and new exhaust fans in both bathrooms. Also, they coordinated the painting in three rooms in addition to the bathroom renovation project. Whatever wed expect from a great contractor, they delivered most effectively:

1- They finished the job within a very short timeframea timeframe that other contractors told us is impossible to be met. They even encouraged us to book our movers on the last day of the project, so we were confident that he will meet the deadline.
2- They communicated effectively with all parties involved (strata, tradespersons, us, the supplier, etc.) and updated us on the projects progress regularly.
3- They explained our options (e.g., tiles, vanity tops, etc.) and shared recommendations.
4- The quote/estimate they provided was accurate. There were no surprise costs.
5- They had connections with suppliers who he was confident would be able to deliver on their promises.
6- They followed up on the project after it was completed and quickly addressed small issues (e.g., installing a t-moulding that needed to replace a reducer after installing the new floor tiles) or finishing touches (e.g., applying sealant to tiles).

All in all, if you are looking for a contractor who is great at time-management and coordination, is an excellent communicator, keeps their promises and meets their commitments, we definitely recommend Homejoy Development. Our project could have not been completed in a shorter timeframe! They went above and beyond our expectations.
