By way of background, on October 18, 2022 a salesman for a reputable company attended my residence and informed me that purchasing the Lennox Heat Pump system and new propane furnace would reduce my heating costs considerably, as the propane furnace would only be used as back-up once the temperature reached -15 to -20 degrees Celsius. Based on that information and his reassurance, I signed a contract to purchase the new system for a total of $28,815.00. No mention of the available funding through NRCan at 0% interest - but quickly got me signed up for a loan at 13%.

On November 2, 2022, installers proceeded to install the new Lennox furnace and 2-ton heat pump; multiple issues resulted in it being replaced with a 5-ton unit in hopes of resolving the issues. It did not.

Both units failed to perform as represented and warranted. Servicemen spent numerous hours trying to resolve the issues, to no avail. Of the $2,132.12 spent in propane from the time of installation to Mar 20, 2023 (4 months and 18 days), the company compensated me with a refund of $743.22 (cost of propane for November and December 2022), indicating further compensation would follow. None did.

On several occasions, I requested a solution to the issues, or a working/reliable unit. Nothing was done, and my messages became unanswered, which only increased my levels of stress and frustration.

Finally, I contacted MMP Home Solutions, and discovered that not only would a BETTER system be available to me at a fraction of the cost, but Julien also assisted me in obtaining a loan with the Canada Greener Homes, at ZERO % INTEREST! The installers were knowledgeable and very helpful, and explained the new system to me without hesitation.

I have had NO issues with the new system, and my heating cost was less than $700 for the winter season! What a huge difference from the previous year (and years when I was on oil!).

I wish I'd reached out to MMP in the first place; it would have saved me from a very frustrating year - and money!
